@@Inogat He's referring to the one for their first campaign, where the gang actually cosplayed as their characters...it started on their 50th episode as their gift to the fans.
Also, having the twins be together is part of elven lore; if they are raised separately, then tragedy/ill fortune would befall them both. That's why in a later episode, Liam/Vax says to Laura/Vex "Don't go far from me...if you can't hear me, then you're too far from me..." ((grabs a value pack of tissues for that part))
If they dont have Matt playing at least 40% of the other characters im going to be highly disappointed but in understanding

In the show, it seems like guns are very new inventions, since there's only like 2 ppl that actually used guns, both of which are engineers

@@girausugurai8802 My understanding was that the story-line (at least initially) is from very early in the campaign (like "pre-Geek&Sundry" days, if I'm not mistaken.) So, probably no Trinket-in-the-necklace and maybe not even before they *ahem* "borrowed" the carpet.
[Still, gotta wonder who (or what) gets to voice Trinket.... :) ]
Best part is that we get to hear Scanman sing again! Sad part we won’t hear Matt’s glorious voice the whole time.
I'm just super excited because Scanlan's singing will likely be original songs now, backed with a musical score that he plays in character, to make it that much more epic.
The only downside is due to licensing, he won't be able to have his epic Britney Spears parody cover moment lmao
To be fair, that may be even cooler, since they can integrate other VAs and possibly tweak lines to represent that (Imagine having, say, DC Douglas voicing a character or two and throwing in nods to Wesker/Azrael/Lantry, or Christopher Judge having a cameo with his legendary "BOY"

It isn’t very memorable though. Yes music, yes beating drums. But nothing to make it stand out. On a scale of generic fantasy music to game of thrones, this is right in the middle.

@@davecorriveau4057 Makes me wonder how they are going to represent the crazy large inventory space each individual player usually have. Grog frequents 2-3 weapons. Pike needs to fit a shield and mace somewhere. Scanlan uses multiple instruments.

@@changsiah2 When the kickstarter launched they had one animated on a low budget by Titmouse. The most successful kickstarter campaign in history and an Amazon deal later... we get this. Much cleaner. Better soundtrack.
0:33 is my favorite part of the theme song. It's when the music sounds more emotional and epic at the same time.

Can the Mighty Nein be all that far behind? Once this series plays to conclusion, count on seeing it in production.
Considering how long this one season took to produce, it will be a few years before mighty nein gets a series

@@christophermendez4322 If this is successful (and I'm not seeing any reason it shouldn't) the next seasons should get a fair boost when it comes to production schedule. I'm guessing around 5-6 years running time before moving on to the Nein.
No shortage of funding either, the kickstarter was huge. But the Twitch leak showing critical roll grosses over 9.6 milllion over 26 months which isnt insane but still a lot and that isnt including donations, plus merchandise sales, their new miniatures line, and so on. However, with that kind of financial success and their own collective financial success as voice actors, doing say another kickstater would seem disingenuous and scummy.

Though it may lose a bit of the fun, simply because there's less OOC moments (things like watching as the entire table breaks out in giggles because Sam said something totally inappropriate or watching everyone react to someone)

As someone who really wanted to get into Critical Role about 15 episodes into Campaign 2, being able to see the story of Campaign 1 in a medium that will have a lot less time investment than the multiple hours for each of the 100+ episodes, is gonna be great. That being said, I'm still more in this for the long haul whenever Campaign 2 rolls around.

Upon multiple rewatches, notice that everyone turns towards the camera/strings when the strings of fate wrap around them... except one. One of them stays wounded, their gaze from the camera.
And this analogy becomes even more potent in Episode 4 of Season 2, when his string of fate to Vex is severed.

We have to remember guys, we're putting a lot of work on the CR cast to put out a ton of content right now. They've organised the new set and have just started the new campaign, as well as a new line of merch. And now thanks to our amazing (if insane) generosity, they'll also be doing VA work for a whole animated series!
They're still only human at the end of the day. Be patient, and don't forget to love our people, even if there are slowdowns in C3 or in the animated series.
My hope is that this can be used as a springboard for other fantasy stories.
If this is a success imagine the possibilities.

That's well off into the future of this, if they get that far. This season is going to be part of their original home game and then the Briarwood arc. With Amazon funding a 2nd season, we might also get the Chroma Conclave arc next. Hopefully it's successful enough to continue though.
