Having driven several Vito/V-class with different specs daily for my job, I can agree. Vito and Sprinter are vans, even if some have extra seats on them. The V-class is a touring car, most suited for everyday life than anything else. It's comfortable, practical and with the right specs, it's a sleeper (250 and 300 models). I'm actually sitting on the driver's seat of a 250d as I type this while I wait for my clients.
Absolutely get where you are coming from with this van, and as an owner of the exact same model be it the Marco Polo camper van version, i had to laugh at the handbrake, i thought it was me but you described my experience perfectly. We have toured ours round Europe and in particular Spain, they are immensily comfortable and will waft along at 80mph serenely returning good mpg. Everytime my pampered pet comes out of garage it feels special, even though we have a 3 year old AMG C class its the van thats in the heated air conned garage lol. Without opening a mahooosive can of worms for me much more exclusive and dare i say a toucn more classy than VW. Great video.
@kris Mcdonald. I am going to buy two Mercedes Benz Vito for my startup chauffeur service business and your video helped me to make my decision. Thank you
Hi Phil. Thanks a lot. 🙏🏼 Yes the seats can be turned around, they are on a rail system so would have to be lifted out and placed back, in the direction you wanted. It’s a little bit of messing around but can be done. The way I have them at the moment does stop the two front seats from reclining, so your suggestion is more practical in many ways. 👍🏻
@@KrisMcDonald Thanks for the reply and that’s great to know. I’m looking at getting the best of both worlds just to be awkward. I’m looking for a 6/7 seater that’s more plush than a van, so very much the same as your view. But I’m thinking of putting a pop up sleeper on top to make it viable to use for a couple of nights away now and again. In that scenario I may remove the middle seats for a weekend, benefit from the space and have a bed also. This model is certainly interesting me as the VW certainly doesn’t look at nice inside unless you spend £40-50k
@@v336518 nice! That would be awesome, and I agree with the VW, my mate has one and it’s mega but you can’t beat the dash layout on the V Class and ambient light etc. I am biased though. 😆 Good luck with it and it would be mega to post a pic once complete. 👍🏻
Apart from holding on to the gears a little longer I could swear the button is broke. 😂 Then again what do you expect from a car this size and shape aye. I’m never happy. 😆
Never happy.!!🤣 The CLK has sport mode, i think it means it stsrts in 1st, whereas in Comfort mode (C mode), it starts in 2nd. Pulls like fook in C mode though, perfect for the traffic light GrandPrix!! 😁👍🏻🏁
@@KrisMcDonald haha.. Sound! I saw an insta post the other day, on the CLK Society page.... It said "perfect wedding car." I instantly thought of you and your comment from last year on my photo...you said " throw a white ribbon on it!!" always thinking aren't you lad!! 😂👍🏻
now that mercedes has launced their new generation. are you going to get one. the amg version with the mercedes logo on the hood has weirdly enticed me. never thought i'd be interested in a van. watched this video to try and justify why i like it haha.
I have a ford custom double cab and as it is a commercial vehicle, I use it every day for work .but do you know if the v class can be run as my work van and run through my business like my ford van .kind regards Richard
A very interesting review thanks. Re the seating, did this model come as an 8 seater as standard but one of the seats of the middle row has been removed and replaced with a table? Is it possible to put the table in the middle or is the row of seats made of a 2 + 1 or are they 3 individual chairs so the middle one can be removed? Thanks
Hi Mike, the van from new is speced as an 8 seater, so two times bench seat in the back which are both 3 seaters. As a no cost option at time of purchasing new, you can delete 1 bench and in its place have 2 captains seats and a folding/movable table. The captains seats are just about manageable in terms of taking them in and out of the vehicle by 1 person… but the 2 seater part of the bench (2+1) definatly needs 2 people to remove from van or turn around etc. Hope all that helps
Spec up a Vito sport and its work and comfort perfect. I sold my 119 Vito Sport and bought a VW Transporter...................not one of my better decisions the VW is trash 🙁

I did love our Vito. The Sprinter can be a little long for parking in city centre. 🤦🏼♂️
I have an XL wheelbase V250, honestly brilliant car, mountain bikes in the back, paddleboards on top, perfect

Great review mate

Hi Sir, can you do a video on how to slide the rear seats forward and backwards? Thank you!
Is this the extra long version🤔
Great review but the constant generic audio library soundtrack is dated, unnecessary and distracting.
Great review.
Can you please advise if the middle row of seats turn to face forwards in your configuration or always face to the rear?
Thanks

Is v-class reliable?
Nice video - table has lost the 8th seat surely (not 7th seat)?
Your right. Maths was never my strong point. 😆 Thanks for watching. 🙏🏼
Did they do a 1.9 vito???

Why did You go with 163hp version?
Great video, very informative. I had the 2011 viano and it had air suspension, I had problems. Does this v class have air suspension?
I hear these cars are bulletproof.

Hi Mike. Yes I think it was a 8 seater although I bought is used so came in this configuration.
You're right, the dashboard looks great. Is it made out of real wood?
Hi! I think its false, it feels plastic when you tap it but looks the part. haha! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
