I dont understand why people compare two directors' work..... Prashanth Neel is a different person whose vision and execution gave us KGFs.... I feel Salaar as a standalone movie, is a fantastic mass entertainer..... but I would also say that neel should also take Audience's feedback and come with a better package with Second part
Yes it's a good mass entertainer but still what we saw is Salaar was very similar to KGF. Even if the Tumbbad makers will make another movie like Tumbbad we'll be disappointed because we've already seen that. Even RKH movies are very similar still they look different from each other's. Atleast Neel needs to add some efforts. Same type ki movies 1-2 baar chalegi har baar nahi. And tbh Salaar did so much just because it's a Neel movie and he's coming after KGF. In North people are going just for KGF makers not Prabhas and in acting Prabhas disappointed again. He too needs to give time and efforts for his role. Action movies abhi chal rahi hai 2 saal baad log bore ho jayenge aur boycott trend karenge phir dusri genre chalegi like pre-pademic. 55:27 correction reason behind army not shooting prabhas - when prabhas and prithiviraj were being taken to the court there’s a scene where radharama(vardha’s sister) instructs the army to remove their gun magazines stating that whatever happens in the court is none of their business and they should stay out of it as she was still following the ceasefire . By the time they reload their mags prabhas already killed Narang( father of that rapist). Also radharama was the one who initiated ceasefire as she wanted prithviraj(vardha) to remain alive by abiding to her father’s orders. Secondly in the pre interval block, the goons stop shooting as soon as they see prabhas cause the man who was told to deliver the consignment was shown as ally of vardha and prabhas(in past) if u noticed he was shocked to see him there. Many scenes were still very over the top and conveniently written at times which lacked solid conviction like how devara(prabhas) escaped after getting the tattoo and saved all his allies (tinu anand, vardha’s bro,etc) all of them had swords on their neck just on the verge of getting beheaded so how can prabhas save all and himself in the same moment 😂😂.
That gun magazine was clearly mentioned and pre interval block too. I felt bored due to many characters but seems like these guys didn't notice the details correctly cause it was clearly mentioned except for some scenes like you mentioned tattoo scene was poorly written.

*My ratings for SALAAR-7/10, 3.5/5. *Edit- I am no Prabhas, Yash fan, just watch films for fun, entertainment. In one sentence SALAAR is a GOOD film, not unwatchable, it's lower than KGF for sure !. KGF is great, SALAAR is just AVERAGE or GOOD, not BADASS. I watched this film in the nearest theater to my house. It's overall representation is quiet good, you'll love it. Action scenes are better than KGF, at least I felt that. But overall it's just good, not badass like KGF-1,2. Salaar doesn't hold the aura like KGF for sure, this film is more of drama/politics rather than action, there's 70%-75% drama and only 25%-30% action which quiet felt weird to me. In short this film lies in between the WORSE and the BADASS category. There're 2-3 iconic moments that you'll love it but I think it could have been more in the film. Overall the movie is good, it's not unwatchable, just don't compare it to KGF because that film is on another level. For sure SALAAR isn't a film that you'll remember like KGF-1,2...this is the difference between a good film and a badass, great film like KGF. KGF will be remembered for years, but not SALAAR.

I feel Salaar as a standalone movie, is a fantastic mass entertainer..... but I would also say that neel should also take Audience's feedback and come with a better package with Second part
Yes it's a good mass entertainer but still what we saw is Salaar was very similar to KGF. Even if the Tumbbad makers will make another movie like Tumbbad we'll be disappointed because we've already seen that. Even RKH movies are very similar still they look different from each other's. Atleast Neel needs to add some efforts. Same type ki movies 1-2 baar chalegi har baar nahi. And tbh Salaar did so much just because it's a Neel movie and he's coming after KGF. In North people are going just for KGF makers not Prabhas and in acting Prabhas disappointed again. He too needs to give time and efforts for his role. Action movies abhi chal rahi hai 2 saal baad log bore ho jayenge aur boycott trend karenge phir dusri genre chalegi like pre-pademic. And Prabhas isn't a bad actor so he can definitely come back with a strong performance. Hope for the best

55:27 correction reason behind army not shooting prabhas - when prabhas and prithiviraj were being taken to the court there’s a scene where radharama(vardha’s sister) instructs the army to remove their gun magazines stating that whatever happens in the court is none of their business and they should stay out of it as she was still following the ceasefire . By the time they reload their mags prabhas already killed Narang( father of that rapist). Also radharama was the one who initiated ceasefire as she wanted prithviraj(vardha) to remain alive by abiding to her father’s orders. Secondly in the pre interval block, the goons stop shooting as soon as they see prabhas cause the man who was told to deliver the consignment was shown as ally of vardha and prabhas(in past) if u noticed he was shocked to see him there. Many scenes were still very over the top and conveniently written at times which lacked solid conviction like how devara(prabhas) escaped after getting the tattoo and saved all his allies (tinu anand, vardha’s bro,etc) all of them had swords on their neck just on the verge of getting beheaded so how can prabhas save all and himself in the same moment 😂😂.
That gun magazine was clearly mentioned and pre interval block too. I felt bored due to many characters but seems like these guys didn't notice the details correctly cause it was clearly mentioned except for some scenes like you mentioned tattoo scene was poorly written.

In one sentence SALAAR is a GOOD film, not unwatchable, it's lower than KGF for sure !. KGF is great, SALAAR is just AVERAGE or GOOD, not BADASS.
I watched this film in the nearest theater to my house. It's overall representation is quiet good, you'll love it. Action scenes are better than KGF, at least I felt that. But overall it's just good, not badass like KGF-1,2. Salaar doesn't hold the aura like KGF for sure, this film is more of drama/politics rather than action, there's 70%-75% drama and only 25%-30% action which quiet felt weird to me. In short this film lies in between the WORSE and the BADASS category. There're 2-3 iconic moments that you'll love it but I think it could have been more in the film. Overall the movie is good, it's not unwatchable, just don't compare it to KGF because that film is on another level.
For sure SALAAR isn't a film that you'll remember like KGF-1,2...this is the difference between a good film and a badass, great film like KGF. KGF will be remembered for years, but not SALAAR.
