@@jessicawest263 because there are themes that weren't in the movie itself. Like new Mary Jane and Peter romance theme of Christopher Young which was rejected and replaced with Elfman theme.

This would have accompanied the credits as a recap of musical themes developed throughout the film.
This basically would have been an end credits suite, hence the reusing of several themes and pieces featured throughout the film.
But why Sam unused this theme for??
