I guess all I should speak for is myself, but I remember in those days I don't know if I was typical or very neurotic but I equated being with a dominant male who couldn't be without me, as having some undercurrent sense of security and excitement at being so desired. So I guess I should say he drove ME wild and leave "us all" out of the equation. Nevertheless of course I feel differently today and cringe at some things I found attractive back then and saddened by a few things I read about those guys in some biography. Who knows what's gossipy true, I never was perfect so I don't expect anyone else to be either.
