Thank you for this helpful video! Do you suggest when discharging clients to only do a case summary like mentioned in the video or do we need to do a discharge summary? Especially when you have clients returning after sometime.
Personally, I don't believe a discharge summary is necessary, unless you are contracting with an entity (for example, Medicare) that requires it. Why write all the same info in a summary that you already have included in the file?! However, some clinicians do this for themselves as a way to finalize or close things out. Not wrong to do, but not necessary to worry about in most circumstances.
