When the last time any award show did a tribute including artists singing and paying homage to any other artists currently in their 30's? Doesn't happen anymore.

I met her the night b4 this @The four seasons hotel in ny. She was so sweet, but looked sad. As far as this tribute, theres a subtle brilliance and power to what Janet does musically. The singers chosen couldnt recapture that. Oversinging is NOT singing!
The best thing about this tribute is the instrumental of "What About" before The Velvet Rope was even released and every Janet fan was like WHAT IS THAT SONG?!?
That video montage was so awesome!! The crazy thing is, that was up until 97. She's done so much more since then.

such a class act BUT damn...like this makes me realize how much this woman has worked...like golly gee...she hadn't even started then lol I just went to the S.O.T.W tour 2017 and she's still PHENOMENAL! I thank her so much for every thing she's done. I love this lady and I always will. I mean it simplybgets no better..ICON all fuqqin day in the purest definition of the word!
