I played baseball up into a very low D1 college so I was never a pro or anything but what I can say is that Esports requires precision reaction time that goes along with hand eye coordination that requires a different type of athlete. Now that the world has evolved and competition has we need to broaden our views. When a batter in baseball needs to make a split second decision to swing at a certain time based on the way they see the ball come out of a pitchers hand and the seam is spinning etc. That also involves hand-eye coordination, are they different types of athletes that require different training sure. But not that long ago we people said cheerleaders aren’t and it’s evident they are athletes. Racing once was mocked when said they are athletes but looking at their core endurance, reaction time, etc. they are considered athletes by most now too. There are tons of sports in the Olympics like that curling game but they are called athletes, ping pong, bowling, you could go on forever. My point is there is a physical attribute one must have to be at the top of their game and at the pro level like Trei and all these other guys and girls that play esports at a pro level.

Yeah he does do that all the time. They needed Priestahh, as crazy as this sounds he was the Karma of that team (with less gunny). He was the pick up the slack player, the OBJ sit in hill/soak up time player whether in HP or Control. if I remember correctly him and Kismet were the ones planting the bomb so he shared that duty too.
Seeing sib stone faced win or loss is unfortunate. If it's an act it isn't doing him or his team any favors if that's his actual personality then that is worse hahah

On the rab videos. I got into the scene in mw19. I found hecz eavesdrop on yt and it led my recommended videos to rab. Which sucked me in to watch the last home series and by the time Champs came around I was so invested I felt like the Envoy 1v1 was equivalent to winning the nba finals. I bet a lot of other ppl can relate to saying I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for rab.

IMO the athletes thing is splitting hairs E-Sport ELECTRONIC… the physical or lack of is already self explanatory imo… similar to motorsport I’ve never heard them be referred to as athletes commonly at least, as they are RACERS/DRIVERS/RIDERS, like the CDL pros are PLAYERS/GAMERS… but again it’s splitting hairs as athlete is used with sport but more common in track and field than a lot of others, or you’d describe people as athletes always as to not disrespect them but instead we use alternatives. The context of which it’s discussed is key I’d say, but neither mean anything less or more.

“Athlete” depends how much you consider things like reaction time, muscle memory etc as being “athletic” over more physical attributes like strength, speed etc.

I think New Yorks problem is they have a team that has 4 slayers (maybe 3 plus kis) and their coaching is of the mind that they can perfect/prep for every scenario. But they have NOBODY who knows when to shift to objective minded play when its necessary. If NY had dashy over sib sweet lord theyd ve final, and dashy would be setting hp time records to surpass his other records
to the (Tate's) response... there are some Esports players that are fit/average and i think a small portion that are Fat/unhealthy, so there should be at some point in which they check on their health and other important times their MENTAL HEALTH as well.... the outside activities or working out isn't gonna mess up your practice/scrim sessions unless your consistently late.

Too early to say if this Faze team is better than CW Faze. Also disagree with MW3 Ultra being better than CW Ultra. Only way I would agree is arguing that they are better on paper but we'll see if they bounce back cuz they aren't looking good currently while CW Ultra were insane from major 2 onwards. I also disagree with the level of competition comment. On paper yes the top 4 are insane but lets look at this closely. Currently only optic look like a dominant team outside of Faze while Ultra and Subliners are good but currently not great. In CW Faze looked insane and Ultra after major 2 started dominating and were clearly above everyone else not named Faze just like the current optic while Empire and Optic that season were good and better than the other 8 teams below them but nothing special just like current subliners and Ultra. So for me the competition in CW and MW3 looks kind or similar in practice while on paper it should be higher this year but really isn't. Cw had 4 teams being Faze, Ultra, Optic and Empire that were better than the other 8 and its the same this year. On paper the top 4 this year should be better than CW but current results don't make it look that way. Current Optic and Faze look like CW Ultra and Faze while current Subliners and Ultra are more comparable to CW Optic and Empire.

I think the sentiment around CW is that ultra were fazes only real threat for the majority of CW. Empire were decent but fell off with the huke drama, optic was buns, and Minnesota outside of the one event weren't threatening faze. So in that sense there was one team who you could make a legitimate claim to challenge faze for chips. If optic keeps losing to faze, ultra don't recover, and NY keep looking somewhat lost in the top 4 then yes this year's competition is much lesser than CW. But if optic/NY win an event/champs or Ultra win another I think you can argue the competition is higher this year than cold war. There's never 6 teams challenging for chips especially in the CDL era historically it's been 2-4 contenders. So I think that's what the talking point is
