I understand that they wanted to do a video with people that they knew in the Church. But I am not sure about using the same type of video. Even with the original song playing. I hope the kids at the church enjoyed the video, is all I will say.
We reached out and got permission to use the audio and remake the video. Not intending to be the original as the description clearly gives Church On The Move credit!
That's great but youo should state that IN the video. For fans of the original who are just doing a quick search, this looks like a ripoff as we start watching it... Hope you had fun making it but that's just the impression it presents. Best of luck.
This video so closely resembles the original that it really needs to be acknowledged as a remake in the video itself. Even if just a 1.5 second splash at the start of the video saying "Thank You Church on the Move for allowing us to remake!" would add a much-needed transparency component. Without it, the video comes across as a misleading attempt to be original content, especially to just a browsing viewer who doesn't take time to read the description.
Thanks for the input Steven. As you can see in our description - we give all credit to Church on the Move for this great idea of a video. They provided us with everything we needed along with permissions to make this video.
@@ThePointChurchca I saw that and made reference to it in my comment regarding "the description:. I'm not saying you violated any UA-cam terms or are bad people. I'm just saying the IMPRESSION viewers gets when watching this is indeed unfavorable. My suggestion to include a quick reference in the first 1.5 seconds of an acknowledgement of the approval you received would help diffuse the unfavorable reaction viewers are taking with this video (see most other comments in this thread!). Best of luck.
I think the original artist and even their updated 2020 video is awesome. Its amazing that there is a rap video that is made today that isnt cussing, slapping a woman or shooting somebody. My hat is off to them. Now as far as this video goes, I was trying to get my son to listen to this song. He looked at me and said dad, the words dont lineup to their mouths. I looked and saw it was a remake. Not sure how I feel about that and I am not trying to hurt anyones feelings. So on that note, thank you for standing up for the original artist, they definitely deserve it. Take care.
We loved what Church On The Move did with the video so we contacted them to get proper permissions and licensing to recreate the video for our Father's Day service at our Church. So the only reason we recreated it was to have our own pastors in the video
@@cam7018 We're sorry that this video has made you so upset! We did however contact the staff at Church On The Move and received the proper permissions from them to recreate this video so we could use our own Pastor's. We don't take any credit for the AWESOME job that Church On The Move did with the original. They are awesome!
Sorry, but we didn't "steal" anything. We loved what the Church On The Move did with the original and we contacted them and asked if we could make this video with our own pastors. They gladly gave us the permission's to use the idea and the audio.
Hello Leslie, if you had read the description of the video, the very first thing we say is thanking Church on the Move for giving us the permission to re-create this video to use our own pastors. They resourced us with everything we needed to re-create their original. Nothing was stolen at all.
We can post a link to the original for you if you would like. They did a great job, this was just for our church and the people who new the Pastors in the video.
This is really good. Thanks
Always always always gotta have some negative comments from the peanut gallery.. this is just a fun remake of a video. That’s all
It's still good, but I like the original better! Can't beat that.
Definitely! They did an amazing job!

Church On The Move has a 2020 updated version btw!!
Yes it's hilarious! Such a great idea to see the same guys 10 years later as dads and bringing in some of the new younger dads.

What do you mean "official"?? The other one was first. I guess you guys just wanted a Canadian version?
The official video was made like six years ago but this isn't a bad remake.
Thanks! Yes Church On The Move made the original and they did a great job with it.
Go dads!
This isn't the orginal.

You took the original audio and lip synced a scene by scene remake of the original video? Why? :/

Could have added a black dude in the video. This just took a great video and upped the cringe factor by 1000x.
Always with the identity politics and political correctness, eh Monel? Can't just enjoy a video without bringing race into it?
ghursty Ok, Boomer.
Ha ha
Not a remake... Just a cheap copy
