Used to have an erevo i took to that spot when I was a kid in Mckinney. One of my favorite spots to drive rc cars! Someday I'll come back hopefully with an xrt and rip!

For servo on XMAXX I did promodeler and it solved the servo problem for good on her and kept horn and everything on. May be worth a look to try their xmaxx servo on the XRT
Looks really good all round. In some ways it seems like they've made a Kraton 8s but with Xmaxx underpinnings, so stable and handles well, but with Traxxas durability so far.
These trucks are sweet me and my son drove one he is dieing for one for Christmas but those are just so pricey.thanks for the review on it so he could watch it me and him sit for hours watching your videos keep up the good work
Definitely like the looks of this over the xmaxx. This might take the number 3 spot of hard bashers I want to get, which is a first for me and Traxxas.
Wow this car is frikin awesome the tires remind me of the Proline icons on my slash 4x4 vxl, but dang those tires would look awesome on a Monster Slash. Great video Mark!

I picked up my black edition! Amazing truck thus far, I'm use to nitro trucks so something to me seems odd maybe you can clarify for me. when I use reverse it seems like the gear mesh sounds odd I popped the cover off and seems like the mesh is fine and no damage so maybe it's just me?

They make a aluminum servo horn that is billet and allows you utilize the servo bearing in the chassis. ProModler is who makes it and it’s like $20 I think. They used to not sell it alone but now they do

Was putting extra fun money towards a fireteam and just got an Outcast 8s lol but I’m gonna need this. Haven’t bought a new Traxxas outside of spec slash and TRX4 in a very long time.
Wish it had easier ways of adjusting brake force and punch etc.
My lhs has the fireteam right now for 399 until there stock is gone. Can't beat that deal. They had outcast 8s for 480 but there all sold out now.

It looks and from your description it sounds like a great truck. I wonder if TSM is a good idea for drivers new to r/c. You know that some parent will buy this truck for their son or daughter for their first r/c car. Thanks for sharing. It looks like a blast.
TSM is great for kids - my 7 year old was zipping my XMaxx around with nice smooth control within 30 mins of his first time holding a Tx with the aid of full TSM
Looks like a blast. I agree with you on the servo situation, not really a great option out there. One of the main reasons I sold my xmaxx. But the tires do look to be a huge upgrade, glad they finally got that right.
Yeah, a little odd for this as a reason to sell it - waaaaay too many options to address this.
Nsdrc and several others make great servos for 1/5 scale. You just have to do a little research

I have been thinking about an XRT but i still will get an X-Maxx someday and i was thinking about a HPI 5B Flux kit but they're having stock issues and i'm more comfortable buying Traxxas, Arrma and Losi vehicles. Currently i'm planning on saving up for a Losi 5T 2.0 i lost a month of saving to buying a Slash 4x4 Ultimate.

Wanted your take. I have 2 Maxx cars I drive with my boys and we love them for the back yard bashing we do. We need one more car and I was thinking of the x maxx for me but this has my attention for sure. Would you suggest this for just all out fun over the x maxx?
