First off it's not as easy as y'all think to say VA is the South - I'm from Maryland the northern part that's right next to DC and VA has a northern part right next to Maryland and DC and all 3 of us the DMV are all right down the road from NY and Philly who are considered the East unless u from here you won't get it - southern parts of Maryland and VA are like whole other states in itself like Baltimore is like in a whole other world compared to the part of Maryland I'm from we don't claim the south over here - just cuz Maryland and VA has southern parts doesn't mean it's the south - the DMV is more complex than a Texas or Georgia which are clearly the South
