When you see someone trying to fish out crouch poke roll catches like that guy at 9:29, the mixup potential is absolutely devious. Seeing it just really gets my neurons firing.
Sometimes wait to roll and get out safely, sometimes respond by blending them with light attacks, sometimes sprint directly into em and roll catch them right back.
Too many people on the receiving end just do the same one over and over again, so roll catchers are usually just not prepared for mixups. Especially if you have a weapon with really low startup lag.
Mage still good despite the nerfs. I think glinstone staff off hand is a must due the slicer dmg nerf + makes Carian piercer do crazy dmg. Piercer works even against high/top players consistently when they try to react wavedashing slicer (radagon talisman piercer speed is good enough).
Why does piercer seem to hit even if dodged correctly?

@@uglyskully5928 because piercer has 9 active frames... a slightly off time roll will get u hit easly
I love magic having better melee than melee.

Luckly that Mancer in the cave didn't know how to optimize a build. Those flaming pillars Should be hitting for 2k when charged.
Not really it can do good damage but at his level it’s prolly only gonna do decent damage what really hurts is the fireballs charged!
Swift glintstone id probably replace for either, piercer, the skullheads one since it got better tracking/last longer and this is good with that gravity spell that pulls them in.

i call it the "touhou build", really fits on my souls game, there's nothing wrong for spamming in Elden Ring the videogame.
how important is the endurance over mind stats? i have a character that use the parts of the noble set and bullgoat legs, while using light stat needing gear like the clayman hook, daggers and small shield with staff, for a cutsey look of an apprendice it actually have a higher endurance need from your (19). but my poise is quite low (47), how should I balance something like that?
use armors with better weight/poise value like steel is using (tree sentinel)
for good armor I usually farm the exiled warriors from stormveil
you only really need the torso and the head piece from the set
cool looking armor set that not many people use, great poise, and it’s pretty light for the amount of defense it gives you
easy to farm too, so hit stormveil
For endurance, try not to be under 25 and never go over 45. 45 end is like the lil mental cap I have in my head because you don’t need much but you still need a cool amount
You can do the same with mind
Or even pump a little more into mind depending on how much you’re casting or hitting L2🙏🏿💯
In terms of equip load
I say let go of the clayman weapon
If you do good damage you can just pump runes into end until you can comfortably equip ya swag or u find a cooler alt you like
and since you’re going med load on ur int build
prioritize poise
the exiled armor will get you well over 50 poise and can comfortably carry you to the final boss
Str/int is better for invasions imo. You get pretty decent AR on cold/magic/fire and ashes like star caller cry and waves of darkness are amazing
Spinning Weapon on that Staff is so funny. Just 100-0's anyone you catch alone
Is it me or does Steel sound like he is having more fun playing a mage than whith other builds?
This game play is simply too smart for me.
For people saying this is OP, , Steel could make anything look OP. Also, the reason people can't deal with magic is either a lack of cognitive ability, or lack of experience.

@@bullymcdouble6048 maybe I am coping. I have both played spell and melee builds and prefer melee. I guess I must have gotten really lucky, but I do understand not anyone has the same experience.
i agree with you, especially if its 1v1 melee is better for sure.

@@mehdigouader On pvp, not even close. (Iirc)Crimsonwhorl bubbletear completely counters it. Golden retaliation also counters comets and ranged spam

Its sad that mage builds are op and sometimes cancer to play against, cause it looks so cool!
I wish they actually were op. Mages haven’t been op since running firestorm

It's because magic is a limited resource unfortunately.hard to balance something like that
