The Killer is now streaming on Netflix, and for the most part, I thought it was a great return to the stylish David Fincher films of old. Have you seen David Fincher's The Killer yet and what were your thoughts on the director's latest film starring Michael Fassbender?

I've already seen this 3 times, and that speaks to how rewatchable of a film Fincher made. Style mixed with a darkly comic character study of a hitman who starts to contradict the code he lives by, and Fassbender is the best he's been in years.

I agree. My most rewatchable film is Zodiac Fincher always delivers, and The Killer was great. I'm going to watch at least a couple more times to pick up the details I may have missed in the first viewing.

Brilliant film and a welcome return of both Mr Fincher and Fassbender. I think the scene where the secretary begs the killer not to make her disappear so her kids wouldn't get any life insurance was where you first see him show empathy towards a victim. By snapping her neck and leaving her at the foot of her stairwell - he not only makes it look like a accident but still provides a clean kill for him. Just seen the movie for the second time tonight - I can see a few more repeat viewings happening soon. Great video as always.

I could listen to a Fassbender inner monologue all day. Also, some very quotable lines in this one.

The Killer is not as complex as Fincher's most popular films - it's pretty straightforward, similar to Panic Room; but it still is an enjoyable ride, mostly because of Fassbender's performance.

One aspect I liked about the film is how you expect the hitman to be flawless but he’s very slightly and subtly incompetent at everything all the way through. I think this film will probably benefit from rewatching a few times.

If you read the novel the killer is far from incompetent.

I was surprised how realistic it felt and didn't know a lot of the shots of Fassbender driving were rear projection/green screen due to the lighting.

great video as always mate, especially your voice makes the video sounds great, well im impressed by the same, as im facing the problem as my voice feels more deepened out and not audible, in my latest short film which is on my channel already, everyone complained that it was hard to understand, so if you could just help in how should i improve it, as im already recording in a good microphone, it will be really helpful! Thankyou so much if you are reading this far:)

This movie was ok at best. The young people loving this movie forgot how he made movies. It was a character study maybe but for sure a movie like we have come to see in the modern age. Full of hype, ok story and asking the viewer to watch the content but not care about plot.

While the movie kinda of opens very similar to the graphic novel it really doesn’t do the story justice. Having said that it’s good movie and the only way they could really bring the novel to the screen would be in a series. It would need 13 hours.

Fun little movie but it has no punchline, no profound storyline, Id go as far as saying no real storyline at all, no character development, not much action or suspense either. I can do without action because it’s more realistic but Flincher could’ve done MUCH better with at least making it more suspenseful and making us care.
This movie just doesn’t do anything for me emotionally. It just gives a fun little reminder of what a great game Hitman is. Also makes me want to watch a masterpiece movie like Leon The Professional, Collateral, Jason Bourne, Assassins etc.
But other than that? Fun little movie kinda disappointing but worth a watch. It’s one of those movies that leaves you craving for so much more but gives you enough to enjoy it for what it is.

Watched it this morning and didn't find it particularly noteworthy. Was it worth a watch? Absolutely, but compared to Fincher's best like Se7en or other Netflix media by Fincher (eg. Mindhunter) which are highly atmospheric, tense and engaging thrillers this sadly missed the mark for me. That said, Fassbender's acting was awesome and he definitely sold it.

I thought this was he's Worst Movie arguably Rear window is 1 of my favorite movies ever but the opening scene was hard to get through with bad narrations that was put together by a 12 year old I just thought this was a average film a bit disappointed. This better then Fight Club , Dragon Tattoo, or Zodiac, not even closed I wish there was more Tilda in the movie she was amazing

There was a moment in the film where the soundtrack sounded very similar to the opening of ‘Social Network’ which is annoying because it takes you straight out of the film. I’ve had the same thing with Zimmer who seems to use bits from ‘The Last Samurai’ all over the place. It’s lazy.

I liked the movie, my problem is little things that a pro assassin has do better, like not shooting at someone who is next to someone, Obviously destroying a cell data takes more than a broken screen, Brute in the shower and him just walking past the door like its a normal thing to do...even when he watches people from 20 meters away from his car, PEOPLE notice strange cars 20 meters away from them...but a solid movie nonetheless

This was a decent essay but my man you have to work on your intonation. I mean this in a constructive way. Your intonation is repetitive and this totally undercuts your interesting content. Ironically you sound bored while presenting very interesting ideas.
You have to use the intonation and emphasis more consciously and specifically - or you're going to lose the listeners attention

Minimalistic stories like this need an extremely charismatic actor like Ryan Gosling or Brad Pitt himself. Fassbender is good but not enough for a Fincher-Leadrole. And the supporting cast is boring as fuck.
Fincher is at the lowest point of his career.
The style of the movie is far below his skills.
Maybe he should sort out Erik Messerschmidt🤭
    Netflix ruining them all😮‍💨
