@@stevenbriggs2891 The actor is really talented when he's given comedic and emotional material. I mean when you see this storyline coming to this conclusion, no one wants to believe this of their mom, their dad, their brother, their sister or even their child. What I love is when Faye and Tim seen it they knew he had to be brought to justice, you'd be surprised how many people would've hidden it for him or deleted it. That whole blood is thicker than water don't let the side down shite. This is one of the best scenes in soap operas in years and it's promoting a good message along with vital information on how abuse works, so people know the signs no abuser shows their hand immediately it's always a slow reveal until the victim accepts it as normality. Whether it be physical, emotional or mental abuse.
A brilliant line, really well delivered and critically important. In many ways it sums up the whole issue, making that distinction between what is normal and what is abuse. Hopefully it will help a lot of victims who've been suffering in silence to speak up and get help.
I am sorry to hear you went through that. I hope you are doing okay. I was in a relationship very similar to Geoff and Yasmeen’s. The strange thing was, my ex did not see anything wrong with his behaviour whatsoever. He didn’t even try to hide it at all because he was that delusional. So glad I blocked him eventually. All abusers get their comeuppance eventually. ♥️Xx
Both these actors are amazing. Tim confronting Geoff really was the icing on the cake in this story line and Geoff is one amazing villain. Both did fantastically in this scene 👏👏👏
God bless lovely and kind Tim who is an upstanding citizen who treats women with kindness!! His father is no man!! Tim is right to say "Drop the dad act"!! If that was my father doing this to his wife, especially if she is my mother, I would not cope with mental health issues and need a lot of support and such loss in my life!! What a sick narcissist Geoff is!!
1:30 is the best moment from that episode "I HAVE NEVER EVER SHOVED A PHONE INFRONT OF MY WIFES FACE AND FILMED HER WHILE SHE WAS COWERING AWAY FROM ME!"
Finally!! Tim now knows the horrifying truth that his father is pure evil. The net is finally closing on that cruel bully. I love seeing bullies get their comeuppance.
Was watching this last night and I was so proud of Tim finally standing up to that monster! Well done to the Corrie cast and crew for tackling this storyline, hope it all ends well for poor Yasmeen tho.
Sally probably told Tim everything that she found out from both Yasmeen and Alya. Then Tim probably told them everything he knew. But that police woman wasn't so keen on yasmeen side.
Great episode!! Glad Tim finally woke up and smelt the coffee I think Geoff does genuinely love his son but he is a very sick man Hope there is a court case and Yasmeen and his other victims get the justest they deserve
Who else just loves and can’t stop watching coronation street I have been watching it since it first started probraly and I haven’t stopped watching it since
I’m sure there are millions who have. I’ve been watching this show for over 6 decades. Literally. Black and white tv - Mrs. Walker, Ena Sharples, etc. When I was a child in Coventry, England I think I started when I was 5 years old. 1962 to1968. Then in St. John’s , Newfoundland. Until 1980. Then Toronto, Ontario. Missed a few years in the early 90’s after Canada deliberately jumped ahead about 2 years to catch up a bit with Britain so I lost interest for a while but started watching it again around 1995 and haven’t missed an episode since.
Yeah. Yeah. Play the innocent act. Making excuses or justification. Nothing is justified in physical or emotional abuse. I would never willingly do that to. My partner, no matter what. If she offended or hurt me In anyway, I would tell her to Leave In peace for a bit or if she was attacking me I would only block her attacks. If I hit her back, I'd be a woman beater, that's not the man I am. Geoff is a sadistic demon!
No, but I had lived through the experience of texting a bloke who had turned out to be a narcissist. It's not the first time. He did to his ex wife, and an hairdresser. He called her a plastic bitch.
That was a fantastic episode I think - at last Tim finally discovered that his dad, Geoff, is a nasty old bully - I think Geoff knew Tim was right by the way Tim understandably shouted at him. Also the moment where Geoff in last night's episode (not shown on here in this clip) realised that Sally must have taken his laptop meant that the net was fast closing - on him - great moment that was 🙂! Fantastic acting from Ian Bartholomew and Joe Duttine in last night's Coronation Street 👍 - which Mum and I watched both Emmerdale and this one on ITV+1 🙂.
My favourite thing about this awful abuse storyline is how Geoff cannot manipulate Tim the way he does everyone else. If Geoff tries to play the victim, Tim notices it and doesn't like it. Geoff can't make Tim feel guilty for anything and I love that. Tim is a strong character and he knows Geoff just likes to bully and torment women but can't do that with him. Tim won't put up with his BS.
@UC4IQjdRk1vP-e1CgOgH3OWQ I hope they don't. I'd like to think he gets his comeuppance and goes away but is still alive and in the back of people's minds. If they did kill him off, I'd want him to go out in style.
