Zsa Zsa Gabor Shows off her Studebaker Lark

- The 1963 Lark boasted disc brakes, a built-in lighted vanity mirror in the glove box and contemporary styling at an affordable price. Studebaker turned to Zsa Zsa Gabor to pitch this somewhat exotic, nearly compact car. Like her marriages -- the company didn't last much longer after she got involved.

Zsa Zsa was Magnificent. RIP
💍💍💍💍💍💍💄💄💄💄💄💎💎💎💎💎
Zsa Zsa was a cutie. The Stude is nice also.
Forget PBS Car Talk's "Click and Clack." When I want good car advice, I'll call Zsa Zsa on the phone.
I once saw on a PBS special about Studebaker that years before Chrysler got a Government bailout, they did because Eisenhower was running for reelection and it would hurt his chances if they went under.
rockvilleraven Eisenhower had a special affection for Studebaker, he said their trucks helped win WWII. They were a 120 + year old company that started out making conestoga wagons and were the official carriage maker for many U.S. Presidents in the 19th century.
Zsa Zsa in a studebaker? That will be the day.
Dah-link, vhere's my leemoo-zeen ????
oh you escaped John to How Lucky!
My dad used to have one of those in Brazil.
The door did not shut tight twice. Only Zsa Zsa could pull this off!!! 💋💋❤❤❤❤💤💤👍👍💅💅💅💍💍💍💍💄💄💄💄💄👛👛👛👛👛👠👠👠👠👠👠👠
My grandfather had one
Lovely!!! 👍💙💙💙💙💙😘😘😘😘😘😘🙏🌷🌸🥀🌾👄zane
Of course! No body dresses around here! I love it, don't hassle her. She is funny, glamorous and charming and goes among with the whole game. I wonder how much she was paid at that time and how much the car was worth?
I can jump in....And out visout loosing my hair!
my left ear liked this...
why does the thought of zsa zsa driving a car scare me?
I remember Green Acres reruns, they were a hoot.
ajajajajaja
That was Eva Gabor.
@@briansilkworth5486 Yes, I realised that soon after I wrote that comment. What a family!
I'm sure she wouldn't be seen dead in one of those cheap Larks. She probably had a Lincoln or Cadillac limo to ride around in. The only good thing about those cars was the advancement of disc brakes. Most other American cars didn't get disc brakes until the late 60's and then only in the front (not all over like most of today's cars.
Did Stan Freberg write this? It's his style.
Note; "Like her marriages -- the company didn't last much longer after she got involved."
Funniest thing I've read all day, and OH but how true it was, hahahaha!
Never thought of hanging the vanity mirror on the sun visor - then you could use the glovebox, the sun visor AND the vanity mirror all at once.
I noticed the door refused to shut when she closed it both times. I still have that trouble with my' '59 Lark, so I just slam it like most of the old 2 door hardtops. My old '56 Ford was worse, even though it was only 5 years old at the time. Check out video: Lark walkaround part 2 on UA-cam.
Believe it or not Zsa Zsa owned some Studebaker's . Yes she can drive .
Yes Darling.
Interesting!
Ha I can't believe she ever even drove one. I'm sure she had a Rolls or Mercedes.
Her sister Ava had a newer Rolls in 1976. The license plate was 1Ava1. Use to see her driving down Rising Glen Rd in the Hollywood Hills.
@kinoptika Ouch!
Firstly... she is NOT dead .. she is alive as of today 8/15/2011. 2ndly She was NOT on Green Acres that was her sister. 3rdly Phyliss Diller is her friend but she is NOT the sister nor mother of Susan Lucci. I hope we put some misunderstandings to rest
This didn't age well.
thats the car she sues to drive to her Rolls Royce parking lot
She spoke English very well here. 30 years later she couldn't. It vas an act apparently.
@Michael Anthony Just thought the same.
Michael Anthony, I just watched Zsa Zsa on a video here on YT quite recently and her English was pretty good. Maybe it was an act. She was cool though.
@@freddie3206 , she really was a character. Watch her with Geraldo or Dave Letterman. Her mom was on What's My Line around 1950. She spoke perfect English then. The video is on here.
@@manthony777 I have seen all of her videos and yes she was a riot. Thanks for responding back.
Of course, who can forget Eva's performance in the driving lesson on Green Acres? "Oh, Prndl - I had vone of those vonce."
A new fender costs only $12 ? ???
Ah, features just like an Avanti. But, would anyone even consider, even in the slightest, that Zsa Zsa Gabor would be caught dead in any bottom-of-the-line automobile. Maybe she kept one of these in the trunk of her Rolls-Royces? Oh, I didn't consider, maybe she was between "sugar-daddies" and had to settle for a car like this. Even if she did, I'll bet she was in disguise when she'd go out in this car.
Is it just me or is this almost silent?
She got seven of those for doing that ad? Some of those came with factory superchargers, stealth muscle car.
@supersnowyangel ZSA is not dead

No, you'll be in jail for slapping a cop.
@mrpitv Too soon!
Too bad the volume on this is so low.
She was not on Green Acres that was her sister who's name is EVA. I used to get them mixed up too. Eva is dead! Zsa Zsa is still alive.
watch?v=NQ8SgjOa0WA
Not anymore she isnt
Zsa Zsa is a 10
Lark is a 2
Yup, you said it.
Can't hear it
She drove Rolls Royces-not a Lark.
My dad had a Lark, I was embarrassed by it then, wish I had it now.
cant seem to be able to close the door can she...
My dad drove Studebakers through the sixties and his last was this ugly Lark. A family of seven in a Lark! How did we do it.
what's her nationality?
F tje Asshole People Hungarian.
Where you paid to say this? Are you crazy? Of course yes. Lol
lol there is a Norwegian porn star named Sasha Gabor, u know that guy that looked exactly like Burt Reynolds..
That car always reminded me of a pig!
If you bozo's are gonna post videos, at least adjust the volume so we can hear it.
having no respect isn't funny.
