200K seems rly high for a 3x31 but it depends on nature, egg group and species i guess. Ye breeding isnt a simple money making method for sure, requires a TON of game knowledge, experience and upfront capital.
@@nico-ob6wj nah bulbasaur is great to breed right now! When venu got moved back to NU recently, a lot of NU players need venus again. 200k seems high but it could legit be the correct price rn, hard to tell, i think if u dropped it to like 140k it would sell super fast, but i could be wrong! id double check the market. I was just thinking this. I'm a pretty new player and I've seen your videos before and comparing prices to 31 iv mons to now is like night and day. I feel as if there are 2 big reasons why people are catching too much and not breeding. 1. Breeding is very unforgiving to new players and its easy to lose profit. And 2. Because it seems no one is even buying competitive pokemon, theres no incentive to breed when all competitive mons are just getting more and more undercut which makes everyone lose profit. You can buy some competitive mons for less than 400k pokeyen when it's easy to spend that much on a breed unless I'm really missing something and spending too much(which is back to reason 1 since I'm new and I've only made a few breeds and the profit was non existent) idk what it would take to fix the economy since I sent know the ins and outs but I'm only gonna be ready to explore that alley when I'm ready to breed teams and it'll probably end up where it's super cheap to make teams, but impossible to make profit from it
I am a new player, 40 hours, to me so far the best money maker has been flipping pkmn on GTL. Bought 1 for 40k sold for 420k & bought 1 for 2.5k and sold for 106k, sometimes people sell stuff way too cheap. doing breeds for 5-10k profits sounds like a slow moneymaker, takes a long time for eggs to hatch right?
My question is, I wonder why more people weren’t already just slapping two of the 1ivs they caught into the daycare for a 2iv to sell for substantially more since the daycares aren’t that far into the stories and they need the 4th badge to sell in the first place.
u make more money just buying 1x31s then taking the time to catch ur own. Think in runescape how its more efficient/cheaper to spend like 80m to train herblore vs farming ur own herbs and making a profit. Time is money, saving time is often worth more because it means u could be doing a better money making method.
The thing is, whenever I want to buy pokemon, let's say 2x31, I found it is much cheaper to breed it instead of buying it in GTL. Then I think 'It is cheaper for me to make(breed) it myself'. Then I think everyone will have the same thinking as me. If that is the case after we breed 2x31, 3x31, etc. Who will buy it if all of us think it is much cheaper to breed it ourselves?
Patrouski, shouldn’t the price of 1x31 dittos determine the max price for any 1x31?? Instead of spending 6.5-7k on a 1x31 atk monster, why not buy a 1x31 ditto for 5k?
Honestly a good question. Id say a lot of it honestly comes down to game knowledge/people not checking dittos enough which is rly funny/sad. Obviously you still need 1x31s of species for pokemon breeds, but why anyone would buy a 1x31 male monster egg group mon for 8k when they could buy a ditto with even better stats for 5k always astounds me. Game knowledge/experience goes a really long way in pokemmo.
Last week I bought 3 1x31riolu on the GTL and caught another 1x31 and evolved them to Lucario and profited 80k off the sale. I spent about 50k on the berries, riolu, and listing fees and sold the 4 Lucario for about 130k. Are there any other Pokemon like that that sell for way more after they evolve?
Supply and demand. Everyone is breeding same Pokémon. Just make a video about under used Pokémon builds and people will start breeding them lol. You can't say I'm wrong.
Lol I made 2 2x31 male hoppips in attack and speed about an hour after this video dropped and i priced them for 39.8k and now the price for male 2x31 plants is 34k and female plants at 20k. I'll probably cancel one of my trades and make a 3x31 to sell for profit, do you think thats a good strategy? Edit: my bad, it's 27k for female plants since Petilil is a female only pokemon
ye i think thts rly smart if the 2x market gets weird for a sec jumping to 3x can be good. i will say u should almost never be canceling an auction, a lot of times with stuff like that people will end up buying the other ones and then urs will sell, u have to be patient when selling stuff and its better to wait until the auction ends on its own time.
I breed my own pokemon, but breeding isnt very fun to do as a money maker. Catching/battling my are just way more fun and requires alot less investment. Plus you'll run into alot more encounters than you will hatch eggs so your chances of finding a shiny are way higher if you're catching/battling vs breeding. Ofc you could do both if you're mostly after shinies, but not that many people are that swaety.
I was breeding like 2 or 3 weeks ago before I stopped playing pokemmo (waiting for johto) and I remember even 1x31 non speed dittos were around 5k I think. I dunno if that's what the prices really are usually because I'm relatively new but you can even get 20k per breed high tier OU mons
yeah the 1x31 ditto prices have been stupidly low for a while now and I have no idea why, considering they're not the easiest to catch and the balls aren't cheap either. if I were to guess it'd be because of patrouski's video on catching dittos and selling them for profit got too popular, so supply went way up which drove prices down, but idk
could it also be a recent massive influx of players, who are the most likely to watch guides on UA-cam about catching videos because it's simple? I myself too have joined the game like 3 weeks ago, and even though I payday and fossil farm/breed pokemon regularly, I could totally see how a beginner just intuitevely thinks catching pokemon is the epitome of money making and all they do is that.
Ye absolutely, i thought i touched on this in the video but sorry if it wasnt clear, new players absolutely gravitate towards catching pokemon for profit because its easier, more familiar and i have a ton of videos on it
@@patrouski yeah, my bad, you said it pretty clearly in the video it's this mechanism. what I wanted to say is that maybe a lot more new players are joining than before, since I myself also have joined just ago.
