@@FREDHARDY His voice sounds a bit inconsistent volume and fullness wise. I'd add transient processor and a light compressor to the stack. Fixes volume without too much compression.
Could use a higher tune speed and lower catch on his autotune. He sounds flat on parts that could that snap.
He's hanging out in the mids a lot for me. I personally like music that lets vocals break into the higher mids. Maybe some light EQ work. My headphones are fairly flat with a low mid boost tho so it might just be me getting unintended bass from his voice.
I think slightly wetter and larger reverb would have gone crazy but that might just be because of my high reverb tolerance.
Not as bad as my first listen a few days ago. I think the artist needs to send out better stems but I'm also not put on and this may be what he fw
@@jay_344 thanks for taking the time to write this, really appreciate it! yeah i could've done a better job on the pre gain automation in to the comp, some words are a bit lower in volume and some jump out a bit and probably some heavier compression from a dbx style to get some attack but i rely mostly on 3-6db peak compression as i fix the rms with volume automaton.
i used 11 retune speed and 7 humanize on autotune in classic mode and for sure i could've given it the melodyne treatment but eurokidd thought it sounded alright from the rough mix so i kept it.
the eq i dont know, maybe 1db too much around 600hz but i dont like the bright pop vocals anymore especially like travis scott, mike dean does some crazy shit and lastly reverb i dont like much either unless for throws which travis does really well but all that said i am self taught in mixing so u might know something i dont but thanks again for the advice! :)
I actually like the mixing, has something slightly imperfect to it that makes it sound that much more underground/real. Super clean mixing kinda sounds odd with this style of rapping/beat.
