Chase Eagleson is best known for his work on his UA-cam channel covering popular songs in an acoustic style and performing original music. I feel like this is exactly how Hozier should be played and listened to.
Agreed whole heartedly. I enjoy the pause at the beginnjng where hes just playing for a moment. When they look off in the same direction it just felt to me in that moment they were just feeling the music
i think a lot of people underestimate how hard it is to play at that level of guitar and sing, it took me a solid three weeks to get that riff down.

Saw this 4 years ago when it came out, and I'm still stunned about how calm and cool you were when playing a wrong note, and just turned it into a cool chromatic line. So impressive, just stunning.
I have a range of emotions about Chase and Sierra's collaborations; 1. Musically, I am completely blown away by their talent. Their individual voices are golden and their harmonies are lovely. They each seem to have mastered a range of instruments and have a sensitivity to each song that belies their youth. 2. As a parent, I find it touching to see a brother and sister collaborating together 3. Their song selection has opened new musical doors for me and allowed me to revisit some old ones. 4. I had gotten away from listening to music and now that I am binging their videos, it's brought me a lot of joy.

I think the first one is even more impressive because she is intoning her singing down. Staying in the same octave, but phrasing it in a deeper tone. Which is not easy to do.

Took some liberties:
Sierra often starts phrases with an under-her-breath "and" which sometimes is audible, sometimes comes out only as "'nd" and often only comes out as a "d" sound at the start of her next word. It sounds very nice but does not transcribe well into lyrics. I included the most noticeable ones and dropped the rest.
I also went ahead and corrected "the damn grass" to "the damp grass" because I assume that's what Chase meant.

In general, I've never understood changing pronouns in a song to suit my gender or sexual orientation. If I, as a heterosexual male, really liked a song written by a woman singing about a man, I would never change the words. I think it's silly/corny/unnecessary (And, at times, seems to reek of insecurity) whenever I hear it done. I just sing the lyrics as they were written.

I literally just listened to 2:13-2:23 probably 20 times and everytime it hit me the same way. First off... How ideal that the section of pure perfection was exactly 10 seconds so that I could just double tap back. The way Sierra sings "around" in a way that literally makes it sound like she's going around with her voice... It's like vocal onomatopoeia
