- In this video, we install the Invidia R400 catback exhaust on my 2015 Subaru Impreza! This exhaust was designed for the 11-14 WRX wagon, but it bolts right up on the GP impreza chassis. I can say that this is the best exhaust I've ever had.

Best exhaust is correct. Getting enjoyment and compliments all the time. Bought the Gemini R400 burnt quad for my flex fuelled 494whp FP Green IAG stg2.5closed ej TPG tuned dk.gray met.2011 hatch performance/aesthetics restoration. Awesome look and incredible sound! Definitely helps kill some built5spd Andrewtech PPG gearset whine as well.

I do wonder how easy it is to modify the rear fender if necessary to fit. I definitely don’t have the experience. How much did that rear bumper cost generally as well as this kit? Granted inflation is a thing etc

as long as it's a hatchback and has a FB20B not FB20D (I think the switchover happened in 2017) your car would have the identical setup to his.

I have been struggling to find an exhaust for my 2012 impreza hatchback. I have found things that look like they would fit but I'm not sure if it actually would bolt on. Any recommendations? So far all I did was a nameless muffler delete. But I want to actually see my pipes and have better sound of a full system

The catback bolts right up to the front cat pipe.

So this (and other 08-14 wrx hatch exhausts) should fit my 2013 hatch Impreza? Obviously with the hangers twisted. Just confirming I read and heard it right before I go shopping. Aside from the cutting the bumper out, what other modifications did you need to make to the car to fit the exhaust ?
You'll either need to modify the hangers or get ones that twist (like I explain in the video). Perhaps longer hangers of you don't want to do the bumper cut.
Willis Do my biggest concert is if the exhaust was just an easy bolt on replacement from a fully stock car. I know you went from the N1 to that custom set up prior to the R400. So wasn’t sure if it was an easy switch. Plus I wanna do this to a 2019 so not sure how fitment would work . Thanks for the recommendation on the hangers. Marco Ceci I did not, I really didn’t want to cut the bumper and also wasn’t sure I wanted to spend the money on a system without knowing how it would fit. Tbh I just saw that nameless put out a new axle back quad tip design specific to the 2017+ wagons that I may go ahead and buy

Stock exhaust is single exit. Diffuser is a piece for a 15 wrx sedan from ebay.

Sure. May require some bumper modification and different hangers like pictured in the video.

They are Colin LED. A website called "TheSpeedline" sells them. They are also on eBay

With the cat less Header did it trigger the CEL? If so what did you do to turn it off?
Yes, you will get a P0420 code. I use Torque Pro to clear it as I still need to get it tuned.
Already ahead of you man! For the header installed and then went with ThrottleHappy Tuning, they’ll delete the CEL and are gonna add some power and forgive gains

Quick question, does the larger than stock exhaust make you lose too much back pressure? I’m worried that the 3” diameter will make me lose low end torque.
Not noticeable honestly. The car is slow already as it is
Back pressure causing power loss is a myth. Less back pressure the better
It amazes me that people still cling on to this stupid backpressure theory when it’s been proven a MILLION FUCKING TIMES that you don’t lose power when using a larger exhaust. Just think about the logic wrapped up in that. Why in the fuck would power magically DISAPPEAR from using larger piping? If you’re LOSING power, it’s not from a larger exhaust. It’s from not taking care of your shit and not taking care of pre-existing issues with said car. A larger exhaust simply shifts your power band around and puts some more power on the top end that used to be in the mid range and somewhat of the low end. And, depending on how restrictive the stock exhaust was, you may gain all around. I’m so fucking tired of stupid car bro logic overpowering what are actually FACTS. Engineering Explained did a whole video on this shit explaining why backpressure is a myth, I did a video on it to a lesser degree with an old project car of mine, like I don’t fucking understand why the same stupid ass copy/paste bro logic CONTINUALLY gets used year after year in the “car scene”. It’s no wonder auto shops stay in business, it’s really no fucking wonder.

Not sure what you mean, mufflers bolt onto the y pipe

It's droney but that's to be expected with any loud exhaust in a hatchback. It could be less prominent if the exhaust tips stuck out more. I'm used to the noise so it doesn't bother me much
@@WillisDo Just go to a muffler shop and get them to weld in a couple of inches of pipe after the Cans so the hangers wont change. The major difference between the 08-14 and 15-21 is the bumper is farther back on later models, and you dont want to burn or melt your bumper.
