But when I emailed the card to my daughter-in-law to impress her, what she got was far from what I had on my desktop. Could you add a description about how to save and then send the card? Please?

Save your Word file as a PDF and then Send it.
Go to File > Save as > Save as type: Select PDF > Save.
If making a card , under the typed content it shows red colour line and green color line ....what to do to remove the line
