0:03 I just love it when Bean's car vibrates like jelly, it's a funny way of portraying movement and it vaguely reminds me of the transformation sequences of the Magic School Bus (1994).
My favorite part of this OVA is this scene where the main character is in a bad spot, so in anime logic, he turns his wheels COMPLETELY, LITERALLY, AND IMPOSSIBLY to the right and blasts off in that direction with the car still facing north. It completely caught me off guard, and it was so god damned stupid yet so god damned cool.
Hey I like the dubbing too but, it is not good. It's a little sloppy and bland and at time jarring and needlessly cartoonish. It's not the worst in the world, but I wouldn't say it's good, even for the time.
@@bigbrainanime9485 the English sound and dub was done in a cheesy yet charming kind of a way...better than Naruto English dub.. wich is on point and sharp but cringe as hell.

ツ tough one. Personally I kinda put them in the same category but if I had to choose I’ve always been partial to stuff like Golgo 13, Wicked City and Goku Midnight Eye so the 80’s.
A A you’re right about that. Look at this and say Akira then look at GitS - there’s a huge step like you said. But I guess digital doesn’t mean better - just look at that latest Berserk monstrosity. That’s one of the worst modern day digital animations I’ve ever watched. It’s almost like they were trying for 3D or something. Totally unwatchable imo lol
It depends, if you want to find 3 or 4 series with actual animation pick the 90s, if you want 2 or less 80s; i actually love 90s and 80s but Nostalgiafags always romanticize 80s and 90s like this perfect time but they are wrong, at the end of the 90s Japan was in economical crisis so they just produce a shitfest of animation even the last evangelion episode is s h I t t y
@@markjmarkjack I think it's great how they go back and forth - the characters are realistic, despite the WTF elements going on with and around them. Bean, for example. Fangs? Indestructable? Can tackle a small car and TURN IT OVER WITH ONE HAND? Probably just as well that they aren't married -- Rally, introducing Bean to her parents: "This is Bean. Bean, this is my mother and father." Parents: look at Bean, then at each other. "Uhm, yes, quite. A pleasure to meet you, young man." Bean, not taking into consideration the fact that he does have an intimidating grin, "Hi. Nice to meet you, Mr and Mrs Vincent." Once Rally's parents are away from the kids...oh. Oh. You know what they are probably thinking.

This anime is stupid fun to watch. Only old school anime has this kind of charm.
Just like old action movies.

This some smokey and the bandit classic vibes.
YES! I had an artbook from the character designer that also included stuff for Gunsmith Cats. Good shit right here
Gotta say the dubbing on this is really good, the voice work is awesome

I watch Anime dubs a lot and prefer them most of the time, but this dub was the only time in which I had to switch to the sub.

@R P Thanks 😳🤭😳🤭😳🤭😳🤭😳
They made another bean bandit episode in 2021. The police guy calls him "gorilla chined mother fucker"
He's got to be augmented.
This is "Skates... For me?" But, in *MAN* mode.
If fast and furious was an anime..
Please, don't delete this!

OVAs, 80s had really detailed and fun stuff. TV, 90s since the animation quality went way up and we saw its peak before digital took over.

Im guessing Bean is his head shape
He's also related to Mr. Bean. Both are excellent drivers.
Bean Bandit is a child predator worst nightmare the villain deserved what she got this anime makes people aware of such evil period!

well that title couldve been worded better
The Japanese audio was so much better.
Gta the anime.

Virtually impossible for any Japanese studio to attempt to remake this and not fuck it up.

US dub really sounds like crap, emotionless, god awful thanks for original Japanese audio being a thing
