it looks like the ableton push 2 !
Yeah the push 2 is very similar to the Akai Force. But isn’t standalone 😁 I’m thinking of getting a push 3 but the Force is such a great machine
Love this already haha 🔥
Thanks!!
Wow! 😍
Thanks!!
Very cool!
Thanks!!
🔥great vibe!
Thanks for listening!!
Excellent jam! I noticed the MPC Live 2 (or Live 1?) in your setup. Since they can both essentially run the same plug-ins, which workflow do you enjoy the most? Been thinking about getting an MPC Live 2 for the portability factor (speaker/battery), but the Force looks like it might have a more enjoyable workflow.
There’s a MPC live indeed, but I love the force workflow more. Especially for arranging and playing songs
Nice set!. pretty smooth transitions. You are working with all drum tracks right? bouncing all synths to audio? How do you structure all the different sounds? do you have saved tracks+clips that you reload at every change? Doesn't seem like it, Are you exhausting the 128 pads per drum track then? how do you achive some flexibility regarding the order of the tracks you play through your set?
That’s indeed correct! I record my synths into an audio track and then select them within a drum track on a pad. There are also oneshots for the drums. In total I tend to use about 16-32 sounds per drum track from which 8-12 are drum oneshots and the rest are loops from the synths. On every track I then insert macros so every track can have its own effects. All of them have a HP filter to blend between them like a DJ set. In this set all tracks are next to each other and you can rearrange them with the arrow keys. But I want to save them as tracks+clips as you mention so they can be imported into another project. In short: sharp eye you have! Thanks for listening!
Do you trigger your hardware Synths with the force?
Yes all of them are connected through a IConnectivity Mio midi interface. I record and play them all on the Force. Works amazing
@@Expectaz super, I have both mioxl, akai force and many hardware Synths so doing my setup at the moment. Do you switch over to Ableton sequencing through that setup also or all dawless setup? May have to connect with you for some consultation (paid obviously) 👍
New subscriber also, have only discovered you.
@@xntricity6446 I mostly sequence everything through the force but the Mio interfaces also run over RTP network midi and the audio is coming into my Mac through Dante. Was a lot of work to configure but it’s now as flexible as it can be
@@xntricity6446 Of course we can connect if you have further questions
@@Expectaz excellent work man, your the first I have seen on UA-cam controlling hardware Synths with the force. My plan for setup is to initially produce in ableton, drums generated by force. Then send midi sequence files to akai force for dawless operation. Using ableton however for FX control. Only downside for live performance is loading projects, ill have to overcome that bridge when it comes to it 😎
