I won't get any love for saying it but.. I see all the moves but no wit, no humour, all the best poppers in history were great storytellers, jokers, they took you through a narrative to a punchline, like Wiggles used to pretend to roll a real big joint then forward floatwalk like he was real high etc etc. popping seems empty without that kind of approach somewhere in the mix, just moves with predictable speed changes, each to his own tho
Well there are many dimensions to popping, to every artistic medium in fact, and different dancers explore different aspects. Some dancers are passionate about incorporating real world references to add a humorous tone to their dance, but dance is more than humor and persona; a dance is not empty and a dancer is not less valid for prioritizing more abstract aspects. You have Yuta and Gucchon exploring hardcore rhythms, Popping C exploring strong accents and super crisp poses, MT exploring movements and directionality, and many Korean and Jp dancers constantly pushing the boundary of popping - it's a very exciting time to be alive for popping. I think it's perfectly fine to say I personally prefer to watch comedy films, but a little biased to say comedy films are more "valid" than documentary, art films, etc.

I know exactly what you mean. OG's had that different vibe about them. Their feeling of the music was just super different and it caught the essence of the music rather than just the beat. I don't see any of that from new poppers. I think it's partly because not many poppers nowadays have such a strong story to tell as their life is more dull and predictable than the OG's life. OG's were more patient too. Now, its all instant.
@@Kidkromechan greenteck, MT Pop, Soul, Future and Slim are great story teller of this generation.

ダンス業界にこういう政治的なジャッジがあるから、日本のダンスシーンは伸びない。
EUN Gにryoくんが勝つっていうどんでん返しも起こってますし、ジャッジは公平じゃないですか？何を根拠に言ってんのか知りませんけど、ジャッジの方々や戦った二人に失礼なんでやめた方がいいっすよ。
たまに音楽から外れちゃうとことか結構あるしどこをどう見るかジャッジによって違うからこそ面白いんじゃないかね
Jenes の方がキャッチーだったけどpoppinJには自分とは違う世界が見えてるんだろうなって思って納得した
音ハメが決まってたのはkiteさんだと思うけどね
jenesのダンスもかっこいいけど、このビートじゃなくても良さそう
