This is useful information, just note that lockers can be extremely difficult to find on weekends! We had planned to use lockers to store our luggage in Osaka while we went out to eat and shopped a bit, and it took a long time of us wandering the main station looking for empty lockers. We ended up using a more expensive service at the station just to avoid rolling our stuff along any longer (I think it was like 800yen a bag with a time limit). During the week it was much easier to find open ones. Also, for the larger stations, make sure to make note of which section you left your items in (maybe take a picture and remember which exit it is by). The ticket usually says the area, but sometimes it can be difficult to find it again!
@@francopanario1292 The service did not have a brand name that I found, just called the "Baggage room" on the station maps. The Osaka Station website has some more details about it (I am not sure if UA-cam comments allow you to share links otherwise I would paste it here). The station did have some touchscreen info screens that would show the location of open lockers so you could try those as well, but they can go fast if it's really busy! Hope that helps, enjoy your trip!
🤩 this is very helpful thank you! one question, since the price is fixed per day and a new day starts 2am. what if i only paid for 700 yen and left my luggage for 3 days. do i pay the remaining 1400 yen when retrieving my luggage? hoping you can answer this soon. thank youuu 🙏🏽
Nice video! A question: and if one has need of more days of secure storage or maybe to have their luggage/packages sent to another town/hotel after x days from the deposit??? Is it possible using one of the existing luggage transfer services (example: Yamato "kuroneko" or Takuhaibin/Takkyubin????)
Thanks for the comment Axios! If you are looking to use a luggage transfer service, then I would recommend storing your luggage at your hotel. Coin lockers are good for when you have no where to put your baggage and need somewhere to store it while you are out exploring. Hope this helps, David
Hello. Just a quick question. So, the price that I have to pay is fixed (5$), whether if I leave my suitcase for two hours or for two days, or is the cost proportional to the time I leave the suitcase??
IC card looks too easy, but when using cash can you take a photo of the paper receipt with your mobile phone to unlock your locker and for proof just in case you lose the paper receipt? 🤔
Hello! I will travel to Japan in a week and I'll travel with a 23kg hold luggage. I will need to leave my luggage at: Nara train station, Uji train station, Shirakawa-go bus terminal and Kawagoe. Have you already been in these places? Can you kindly give me your suggestions? Thanks a lot,
The cheapest way to store luggage in Japan is to take your bags to the place you will be sleeping on your last night and ask them to hold your bags until you arrive. This is free.
@@larryhello-qs6im what i'm saying is, if i want to travel 3 weeks all across japan, i'd be spending most days in different cities(i'd just take a few days to stay more than 1 day in tokyo and osaka) i can't just leave my suitcase in tokyo for 2 weeks until i get back to tokyo lmao. i need to bring spare clothes along
@@larryhello-qs6im forgot to include this in the previous comment but basically the use for coin lockers in fir places thst don't let you bring your luggage in before check-in. i would guess airbnbs tend to do that. but idk.
they are located in every station. if you mean these specific lockers in the video i believe it's shibuya station 1:55 shibuya sta. information center A-02

Do a video on your top 5 favorite places to get yakitori!
That's a great idea! Ask and you shall receive. Should be able to get that one out January or February! Stay tuned!
Thanks ... this is exactly what i wanted to know .... Now i want to ask .. is coin locker available at all stations?

You can just leave your luggage at hotel lobby front desk if you get there early. They will look after it until you check in
you can you use your suica card or use cash if thats ur jam
Hello there, extremely interesting this kind of lockers, I’d really like to know the company of these lockers for my business
Would this also work with suica card in your iPhone?
Hi, great and useful vid! By any chance do you know what is the best way to leave a luggage straight for 1 week?
probably the usebounce service
do they have this big locker available all the time?
do you know if this works for the "welcome suica" card? since they got rid of regular cards.. just wondering
can hotels that you are not staying in look after luggage?
Hello. Just a quick question. So, the price that I have to pay is fixed (5$), whether if I leave my suitcase for two hours or for two days, or is the cost proportional to the time I leave the suitcase??
It's fixed
it's 700yen per day, you can check by looking up info
Does an IC card on an iPhone work for this?
yes, the iphone ic card works for anything a physical ic card can do
@@Daisyhatingugolyee Thanks. Yeah, IC on iPhone is so useful, I don't think I'd ever get a physical card. I even used it on like buses in Nagasaki.
Appreciate the video but there's 1 problem. New physical Suica cards will no longer be provided due to chip shortage.

How about at Narita airport, how much for 5-7 days storage for a large luggage?
600 yen per day, it's on their website

yes, the iphone suica works for anything that the physical suica can do
Luggage can be store in lockers for a maximum of 4 days...does that mean "ALL" lockers in Japan or only certain ones?
Hi. Can you please tell for how much hours we can keep our luggage for 700 yen? Or are the charges per hour basis?
it's 700yen per day, you can check by looking up info
Ive never been to a hotel that didn't store my luggage before and after checking.
Maybe they aren’t returning to the same hotel
Hi... Is it okay to unpack/pack things in our luggage inside the station? Will it not seem disrespectful to Japanese people?
why would it be? you are not disturbing anyone

Yes. I found this guy's video advice to be stupid.
