- The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the top safari destinations in the world. Paradise for the wild animals because of the abundant year-round food and water supply and no need for migration.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected area surounding the crater, it is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Maasai people live in many villages in the area.
The Empakaai Crater inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is 6 kilometres in diameter, with 300 meters high rim and alcaline lake covering most of the crater floor. The lake draws thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds.

I love my country Tanzania.
I came here 12 years ago......I quite literally STILL dream about this place. Never have I wanted to revisit somewhere as much as Tanzania and Ngorongoro. So much did not get to see.
I was there 12 years ago too.. I am heading back there in August for the first time in 12 years. Once you go, you never stop wanting to return! You must do it! I was there 12 years ago in July 2011! Maybe we were there at the same time lol

Like are the herbivores safe from the attacks of the predators in recent days? kindly brief me the current situation, are all the animals living peacefully together or the cruel activities are still going on regarding predator-prey hunting at Africa?

Actually they don't co-exist. The predators still kill they prey. I have seen it.
It's not exactly co existence though is it
They also co_exist with human beings, the Maasai who are the natives of the Ngorongoro. You can find animals like zebras and many others close to their homes
I'm sure the predators still get their fair share of meat.

We were there two years ago. If someone only has a day or two the Ngorongoro Crater is a wonderful place to take a safari. You can see practically all the animals on your bucket list in one day. Again wonderful!!!

Visited Tanzania nearly three years ago, and the Ngorongoro Crater is hands down the most spectacular thing I've ever seen. Both from the rim observation deck, which took my breath away, and the abundant wildlife within.

When I visited with my son about 10 years ago a thing which amazed us was that during the day young herd boys, in their traditional red blankets and armed only with a long spear, from local Masai tribal villages, walked their cattle herds down into the crater to drink and the lions took no notice of them! Incredible spot!
An “educated”, Masai will tell you it’s a rite of passage to bring back a lions head. African warriors...we don’t play
This is my home my father was born down there but they were moved in crater rim were we live now.....welcome to ngorongoro you will not regret this

Asia and Africa are best for watching wild animals actually.
Europe and north and South America don't have a vehicle to go and watch animals
On foot it is dangerous as bears and Grey wolves will attack you and tear you into pieces for sure if they feel threatened by us

I'm a TANZANIAN. Animals and human just live there. Masai just walk with cows and lions just watch them not to kill them. It is as it is. natural. TANZANIA have more national parks and huge selous game reservoir. Big part of land in Tanzania is for wildlife.

I've read about this crater in J.A. Hunter's book, HUNTER. The book chronicles his exploits as a professional hunter during the 1920's and '30's. But as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words". This video is outstanding. Well done. I feel like I've been there!
