Thanks for this excellent lesson on cigar wrappers, very informative. 😊👍Take care and Cheers!
Thanks to you too, for watching and commenting - I really appreciate it!
Very well done, Jim. I really like your "frosting on the cake" analogy. But, you don't like carrot cake with chocolate frosting??! Whatsa matta wid you?? Kidding. 🤣
Great video! I really enjoy your channel!
Thank you so much! My main goal for the channel (since it's impossible to monetize because most advertisers won't show ads on videos for "sinful" products) is to try to provide helpful information, and it is very rewarding for me to read comments like yours.
Great video. Of course the wrapper contributes one major thing to cigars: *appearance.* Because when we go to buy cigars, whether we see them live in a tobacco shop or an online pic or one in a magazine, all we see is the wrapper. How glossy is it? How oily-looking? Veiny? All that. That's all we have to go on (aside from the band). It's not like we can open it up like, say, a car hood and look underneath before we buy it. We certainly can't test-smoke a cigar before buying. This is crucial to sellers, and IMO is probably the most important aspect of the wrapper.
That's a great point. The wrapper and band are the only visible info we get from looking at a cigar.
Super interesting. Great research. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
