Alesis MK2 Repair, Flickering light, Clicking Sound

Short guide of how to repair your Alesis M1 Active Mk2 studio monitors.
Components needed (not counting the soldering equipment):
-Capacitor: YXF 220uF 50V 105C Ø10x16
-Resistor: 3W 47kohm 5% (47k)
(one of each per monitor)

Thank you for posting ths. My Left Alesis Mk2 went out. It looks like one ofthe larger black capacitors is also leaking and it is bulging on the top.

Hi. The capacitor at C8 in my speaker says 35V. Is it OK/better to replace it with 50V?

dont take my word for it but from what i understood the rule of thumb is to go for the same or higher. thats why i chose the 50V one! still works fine for me one year later with no problems! :)

For the parts all I found is a 10x12.5 capacitor will it fit ?

hello! sorry for late respons i am not sure actually. the parts i used i bought after talking to someone down at the local musicstore. id suggest you ask someone like that if the a 10x12.5 would also work.
