Man I really dig that little part where u did the guitar harmony thing... It shows that even a small thing can make such a big difference. Congratulations and love from Portugal! :)
Copied from another comment: Sure! they’re Dm (d F A), dm7 (d f a c), C (e g C) , g ( d g b) , and Gm (d g a#). With the little turnarounds in between like (E F G E E F G) and the one that goes (D E F G A A# C C# D C A F E....) I think, doing this from memory and a GarageBand piano haha
Hey dude, love the cover! I figured out how to do the end synth solo (however some are saying its a guitar synth; didn't know but a synth still works perfectly haha) however, I do not know the organ sounding chords at the beginning and throughout the solo. Could you let me know!? :) cheers and again, great cover!

How do you get that voice effect? I mean I'm trying to start to record songs on my own and I kinda sing well but I don't know how to dial vocal tone (eq and shit)
It’s mostly a slap back (short time) delay! It’s meant to sound a little bit like the effect of double tracking vocals that the Beatles and others used (and still use).
It is mostly the short slap delay as a sort of faux-double track a la Lennon/Beatles! There’s a splash of reverb as well. I’ve used Waves Reel ADT (the tape ADT emulator that can “humanize” and drift before and after the dry signal) in the past as well but I think I just used the regular delay here.
helmy jacob thanks!! I’m tracking using a Shure SM57 (on the side of the snare, which has a cloth to dampen it), a Sennheiser Kick mic, and Shure PG81 overheads. They run into a UA 4-710d preamp and then into a Mackie mixer/interface. I’m using Kevin’s beloved Shure Level-Loc (Soundtoys Devil Loc Deluxe) to smash the overheads and give it that garagey, 60s vibe.
Oliver Reddy hey Oliver! Kevin often uses a very Beatles-esque vocal chain for that dreamy, psychedelic vibe - some combination of slapback tape echo, double tracking (real or tape-simulated) and a short reverb. Here I’m mostly using the tape-style slapback effect!
Dante Ortolani hey Dante! That is actually Logic Pro’s built in “Candy Fuzz” pedal sim - I’m running my guitar direct into the board (which Kevin has also done from time to time).
He pulls the mirrors off his cadillac YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAA
2:56 "yeah"
That alone deserves a like 😂
I came to comment same 😂😂😂
perfectionist
Very Good - Congratulacions
nasty, gnarly bass line!
I’ll never comprehend how you can embody ANY voice, while also expressing your own style, but I’m living for it 👌🏼
☺️ thanks Brittany!!

New bass lookin good 😉
Do you have the preset for the midi keyboard solo part?
Sorry, I don’t! I made that on the fly in my iPad’s iMini app (by Arturia)!

Very good. Why you didn't use the synth guitar for the final part of the solo?
I thought it was a synth! And I don’t have a synth guitar....yet 😝
@@JoeEdelmann3 you dont need a synth guitar. It's a mix between the dry and a higher octave signal, with distortion reverb and delay
Hey can you please tell me the synth chords for the solo, please?
Amazing cover btw, keep up the good work

@@JoeEdelmann3 thanks a lot dude, really appreciate it

How did you process these vocals? Sounds great! I can definitely hear slapback, but what else?
It is mostly the short slap delay as a sort of faux-double track a la Lennon/Beatles! There’s a splash of reverb as well. @@JoeEdelmann3 Awesome! Thanks as always
How do you record your drums? And amazing cover :)

Is this being used in the SCE commercials?
Mary Ellenberger what commercials do you mean? I feel like I’ve heard it in a commercial before, don’t remember which
Sounds like QOTSA - Monsters in the Parasol
Pretty close.
What effect do you have on the vocals?? This sounds amazing!
Locked Groove thanks!! Just a quick slap back tape echo and a touch of reverb, what I like to call the “John Lennon special” 😆
adam neely that you bro?
ben//music no but he’s great!
Joe, im here for radioehead, but I have a question about this one, what effects are on the vocals, i can never figure kevins vocals out
Oliver Reddy hey Oliver! Kevin often uses a very Beatles-esque vocal chain for that dreamy, psychedelic vibe - some combination of slapback tape echo, double tracking (real or tape-simulated) and a short reverb. Here I’m mostly using the tape-style slapback effect!
wich pedal did you use for the "fuzzy sound" ?
Dante Ortolani hey Dante! That is actually Logic Pro’s built in “Candy Fuzz” pedal sim - I’m running my guitar direct into the board (which Kevin has also done from time to time).
Hey man did you use any guitar pedals at all ?
On this one, I’m pretty sure I just used Logic Pro’s “Candy Fuzz” pedal sim (plugged my guitar direct in)!
Thanks man I appreciate it
What effect are you using for the guitar?
Adrian Ramirez Bermudez that’s going straight into the interface, and using Logic Pro’s “Candy Fuzz” pedal sim!
