- After putting some thought into the possible solutions to the notorious NCV3 roof leak problem, this solutions seems to be the most effective and serviceable.
Basically, silicone around the perimeter of the forward cover of the factory NCV3 A/C system. I recommend doing this after a fully drying out entire area around and under the A/C unit to avoid trapping moisture under the cover. - Авто та транспорт
Having same problem was going to remove then seal but will go with your solution as it will save alot of time and easy access for future issues. Thanks!
I am going to try this as soon as the weather breaks here in PA. My roof AC seal was already replaced at the dealer under warranty and it leaks more now than before they "fixed" it. Now that it is out of warranty, they want $3000 to do it again. I'll sell the van before I let them mess with it again.
Update. Did this fix within the last week and the van has been through a couple of heavy rains. Zero water inside. Thanks for this idea. It really works.
@@justingillott1184 About to try this as well.. did you take off any of the covers? Or did you just use silicone around the perimeter? I am a bit confused since he says that he took over the covers and then immediately says you don't have to take them off.

I took off the rear cover only to allow access the the back of the front cover. Ran a heavy bead of sealant around all 4 sides of the front cover. It is 100% dry at this point.
The bolts on that rear cover are a T-30 Torx by the way.

So you have any pictures of the job you did?
My 3rd attempt was to seal around the front cover and it worked for a while.. frustrating vehicle. The bluetec system is also a nitemare
