I have this Gti. You defiantly need the full leather seat pack. Those cloth seats are the same ones available in the polo beats. Also the 18" mags are way better than the 17". I took mine with all the options and it came in at R457 000. That price of R379 000 is sales talk lol that vw use to make it sound cheaper, cause with some basic options you looking at like R415 000 minimum and that's excluding delivery/on the road licensing etc. It's fast believe me, robot to robot it will sit neck and neck with a mk7 Gti, it's only once it reaches about 229kph that the golf starts pulling away from it on an open road. And yes it loud and it does "pop" a lot also has a very nice DSG fart. Btw it's using the mk6 Gti engine 😜 with the mk7 chassis. Great vid though I like to see some local stuff on UA-cam 👍🏻👍🏻
Cool video guys. This is something different. Amongst this cars local competitors, the Polo GTI does shine brighter. As the gentleman stated there, the car is still fairly new to the market. Ford might reconsider to bring the Fiesta ST and until now Opel hasn't announced a new OPC range, so time will tell.

The Polo at R381k with having purchase a service plan and or maintenance plan probably works out to around the same price as its competitors. The Polo has really improved over the years.

With a proper GTI turbo and tune-up it should be able to reach 200+ kw easily. But... It's stupidly expensive for a polo...I'd prefer to buy a 2016/2017 scirocco R..even if it has 10-15k millage. Or save alot of money and buy a s2000, and watch your car appreciate in value.

For me personally, I don't like the look of the Golf. Polo looks way better for me. Also, the Polo got the better sound compared to Golf. It has all interior stuff I need and I still pay 10k less than the Golf. It's lighter than the Golf, making it almost equally fast, with less HP. If I would tune mine, I could easily get faster than a Golf if I wanted too, still cheaper than buying a Golf. No reasons for me to buy the Golf. And it's a big plus for me that the Polo GTI is very rare, unlike the Golf, which you see so often here.
