That is such a neat idea, with the treasure hunt. The advent calendar is the best kind when you can reuse it year after year. Now days people buy the ones that are all made up and just throw them away when they're empty. I have one that was given to my husband that had different whiskeys in it. It was quite a large box and was very decorative, so I have kept all of the empty bottles. (I'm thinking about using them for spices, possibly.) I also saved the box and have watched people make things out of cardboard and fabric or colored papers on UA-cam. It has inspired me to repurpose the beautiful box with foam and fabric and a few bits of cardboard and use it to store mementos from my dad or something of that nature. I have some Dupioni silk fabric that just happens to be green, so will be using that. Future project.
@@raneemilliman7130 I recently saw a video where a woman gave her husband and Advent calendar. Evidently he had never had one before and she did not realize it because he opened up one of the paper doors from the middle and then ripped the whole box open so he could see all of the contents before she could stop him.
I really really like that advent calendar you were working on. You went to a lot of work. Our Thanksgiving went swimmingly. The meal tasted great, there was lots of laughter and storytelling and my grandkids put up the Christmas decorations. We also celebrated my one grandson’s 23rd birthday!🎁🎄☃️
Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans that are celebrating today. Canada celebrates in October. Emma, I love the advent calendar!! My mom, bless her, always hung it in the ‘front room’. But because there were 7 of us, she would only fill 7 pockets and would do this every night. My goodness it was a special part of our childhood memories.❤ For us younger ones, there was an X marked on our kitchen calendar each morning so we knew how many days were left. I love watching you buzz about your home. You have come so far and it shows!! I would like to give you an idea on your laundry; when you hang your clothes about to dry why don’t you try using an oscillating floor fan. It will cause your clothes to move, like on a clothesline on a breezy day and aid in drying it faster. Just a thought. I know it works because I do it. Even though I have a dryer, I also have two portable clotheslines set up. I enjoyed your video today, as always❤❤
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃 to you and your family 🌹🤗 awesome video 📸 thanks for sharing 💗😁 Stacey from Virginia 👋🏽🪷 Everyone have a wonderful and beautiful Thanksgiving ❤️❤️
I am loving watching you get ready for Christmas especially the advent calendar.... filling it up for your Mini Me. What are you writing on the notes of paper in each day?
You have a great channel! Watching from Brockville Ontario Canada 😊 Quick question- do you have any drying racks for your laundry? Maybe set up a few- would that be easier for drying your stuff? I’d be lost without my dryer 🤣 🇨🇦💚
It was so kind that my sister got my daughter's made when she was very small. We got the other one when she was about 3. She was pressing the cloth one and told me she can see the mint chocolate reindeer in the pocket for the 25th! When I was little there was no window for the 25th. It finished on the 24th!
Yes! Isn't it the best feeling to get things out of your house? Our donation pile sits at the bottom of the stairs. Last Saturday my mom told me that she read on Facebook the place we donate would be closed until December 1st because they were relocating. Thankfully there was someplace else we could drop off our goods. 🎉 I understand what you mean about not coming away from a meeting with much useful information. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for a training I'm part of to end. It is supposed to be an 18-month training, but will end up running from July 2023 through April 2025. One of the major insurance companies require that clinicians are trained in this modality, but many of us are way overqualified. 😢 Sometime it would be good to do a refrigerator clean out during one of your videos. I always wonder which countries use the expression to Australia. In the United States we say dig to China. 🤣

I spoke to him during the evening, he joined our table but he doesn't understand much of what is said 🥴🥲. What a fun time for you both with the Advent calendars. Lucky to have TWO.
