- In March 2022, the San José Fire Department replaced Fire Station 20 at Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport with a new and state-of-the-art facility. This new facility will ensure the safety of the airport, its passengers, and the surrounding community for generations to come. Fire Engineer Dave Scocca gives us a tour and tell us more.

Excellent video, it would be excellent if all the stations were toured to show the specialty of each station, its fire vehicles and the material that each fire unit has.

What other stations are planned?
The whole city I hope
Station 37 just opened on May 10, 2022. Construction on the new Station 8 (replacement) is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2023 with completion targeted for Fall of 2024. Construction on a new Station 32 (addition) is also anticipated to begin in Spring of 2023. Plans are currently being explored for two other stations, one replacement and one an addition.
