Definitely the new stuff! Because (mostly) of my beloved indie devs, there's all kinds of adventure games being released at affordable prices, with all kinds of aesthetics and mechanics. Sometimes a mix, like Anodyne 2. Just last week i've played a very flawed, but also very enjoyable adventure game called Aritana and the Twin Masks. Have you seen it? Keep up the great work, you deserve a lot more subs and views!
Anodyne 2 looks my jam, thanks for the great review! As for favorite adventure games.. I think nowadays there's so much variety in new releases there's enough to keep me happy. I'm definitely a fan of the style of stuff like Grim Fandango and The Journey Down though!
Hmmmmm, for the question, I'll say each era has some of good and some bad of adventure games, so in all honesty, can't say that I have a favorite era. Even going back to Atari 2600, and the game Adventure, still a classic, and fun fact, was the second game I ever beat, first being Haunted House on the same system. And good luck you two with the test, unless you already filmed it, then I just can't wait to see it. 😉
Any idea if it is coming to ps4 or xbone? If it does come, do you suggest getting it? Your review seemed kind of waffling, not that that is bad. I just was not sure about it at the end. Qotd - I dont really have one favorite generation of adventure game. There have been so many throughout time that I dont think it would be fair to declare a winner. I do have a special place in my heart for zelda on the snes and gameboy. Good times to be had there.
Games that mix types always seem to have those slogs in the action. I was more interested in the 2D exploring you were showing of the game. Looked like it had cool mechanics. QOTD, that's a toughie, Maybe the tail end of the 16-bit era/beginning of the 32-bit era.
I hope the story is told in a better way than the first game. It had great atmosphere and art direction but man the story made little to no sense! And I'm pretty sure it was by design but still... Anyway, really hoping to see this one ported to Vita or at least PS4.
There's definitely some of that here, but I feel like they found a way to make it work with the themes of the story. I think a lot of this is due to it being more about Nova's journey and how it relates to life in general. I got a lot out of the story, though I'm not sure it's one of those games where you should spend a lot of time trying to understand the larger mythology.

Having more time I’d definitely give it a try. My favorite era would be the 16 bit especially with a title such as the Link to the Past.
This is such a well-done game
Hell yeah to Nova. Sweet video as always brother.
I've hear lots of good things about this game, I may have to check it out.

The original Anodyne came out on consoles earlier this year, so i suspect this sequel will eventually get ported. I enjoyed this game quite a bit.
Im seing a mix Of Final fantasy for the 3d segment..A Minish cap for the gba part
