Great video Lloyd. It is always good to see anglers happy in catching smaller fish. I've done a lot of species comps. Now I've my own boat its hard not to look to catching as many species as I can. My rig box is evidence to that. Too many rigs. Keep them coming.
Thanks for watching Andy, I think it’s always nice to target the smaller species and as match fishing views you have to resort to that in order to get on the board. Some of my favourite sessions are catching the smaller species. Happy bee year mate.
HI Lloyd, another good video. If I saw rough ground like that I think I would go to another mark. There are not many anglers that like catching Rockling. Keep em coming. Happy new year to you and Phil.
Hi Andy, yes it’s one of the rougher marks around with us but with the right approach you don’t lose that much gear. Rockling are a fantastic looking fish just something that I like about them. Happy new year mate have a great 2021
Hi Dan, yeah we’re still out hunting cod. Travel restrictions are proving difficult at the moment but I’m sure we can get out soon. Well done on your cod
We haven’t given fixed spool reels a good try yet but Phil has got a Penn spinfisher loaded up with braid ready to try when the lockdown is over. Thanks for watching Stephen
Love your content guys picking up loads of tips, like to get out with you sometime I have a question, what is the best way to secure the sliding reel seat on a 6&bait
Hi Will, thanks for the kind comments and glad you’ve taken some tips from the videos. I think the AFAW range of reel seats grip on to the btt section when you tighten on your reel. The real foot usually pushes a small section of plastic to lock it in place. But you can also put a wrap of electrical tape where you want your fitting and pull it down over that making a tight and stopping it from moving up and down. Hope that makes sense 👍
@@BanditFishingUK that’s what I was thinking about doing to stop it sliding Down every time Had a pair for Xmas can’t wait to get out and use them 🎣🎣 Cheers guys tight lines
Great baiting tips regarding mackerel, I can get it on the hook but it doesn't look pretty lol issues with it twisting and breaking up. I have a better approach to it now cheers butt 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hi Dan, in my option fresh pouting is the best bait for big conger. You can catch almost anything on it, Cod, Dogs, Huss, Rays they will all take a liking to a nice pouting bait. It may not produce numbers of fish but might pick out some of the bigger ones.
Nice Fishing Lloyd! Had my First Blonde off their many moons ago 3 Hook Flapping whilst fishing a match for the Seaview Lads Angling Club. You fish for a local club or do you take part in the East Region Shore League? I used to fish it for Holton Road Angling Match Team 👍
Hi mate, last year I fished matches with Holton road, Bargoed SAC and in the shore league. Had some good results but a couple of blanks too. 2020 was probably my best years fishing. Do you fish with a club now?
Thought you might have! 👍 I used to fish for the Holton Road Angling Match Team and was in fact Captain when we first started the team for Rays shop. Haven’t fished it for years though however my old man still fishes for them. Not entirely sure who else is in the team at the moment though.
Hi Keith, The reels are loaded with Trileen Smooth Cast XL. I believe it’s a .43 diameter that’s just shy of 30lb breaking strain. Thanks for watching and happy new year. Good luck on your day hunt in 2021
Some days you might lose 2 or 3 weights. Other days you might sacrifice a weight every cast. It all depends on conditions and of course how rough the ground is your fishing over. Thanks for watching
Mark, you need to understand we don’t release our videos immediately after recording. They take time to edit and we aim to release one video a week so if we are lucky enough to have a surplus we will hold videos back so that we have something to post when we can’t get out fishing for whatever reason. This means that sometimes these videos may be released a month or more after being recorded. Also in Wales we don’t work with Tiers. We have “alert levels”. This video was not filmed during a lockdown.
Love watching lads .loads of tips thanks. Happy new year from grimsby.
Hi Carl, thanks for watching. Happy new year.

Well done enjoyed the video, mark looks like a ankle snapper, when raining, tight lines all the best🦈
Hi mate, it can be dodgy underfoot. Taking your time and good set of studded waders usually does the trick. Thanks for watching.

Great vid chaps. God I hate fishing on those sort of rocks. One slip away from a knackered ankle.
Hi Rick, yeah its tricky underfoot just have to be cautious and take your time. Happy new year mate.

Hi Alan, they can be tricky but I class myself as a bit of a mountain goat at times 🤣🤣. Happy new year to you. Thanks for watching.

Hi Dan, yeah we’re still out hunting cod. Travel restrictions are proving difficult at the moment but I’m sure we can get out soon. Well done on your cod

Hi James happy new year. It’s a Guy Cotten smock. Very impressed with it so far. Thanks for watching.
@@BanditFishingUK
Nice ill have a look.
Been looking for a good waterproof jacket/smock. Good cuffs. Havent seen anything yet.
Yeah these got neoprene cuffs stops anything running up your arm.
Hi, with that method how many weights do you expect to lose? Say 3-6 per session
Some days you might lose 2 or 3 weights. Other days you might sacrifice a weight every cast. It all depends on conditions and of course how rough the ground is your fishing over. Thanks for watching
did you lose many leds on that trip
Happy new year mate, no didn’t loose much that day. 1 full set up on the big bait I had out but on the scratcher just a few leads.
