As someone who was almost graped at age 7, has met numerous women (and men) who have been graped, and been around men who have threatened and tried to harm me and the people I loved, I would still choose to be alone in the woods with a man. The bear or any large predatory animal, even a dog can rip you apart(edit: alive), literally. I have had to fight off both men and dogs, I'll take my chances with a man.
I don't care what anyone says. If I see a man in the woods alone, I will hide so he does not see me and if I see a bear, I will hide too. On the normal street I can navigate but in the woods, we are hiding.
The "pickme girl" did make a valid argument. She questioned the consistency of some women. If they really believed men are pretty much guaranteed to do the worst to them if they are alone with them, why do these women frequently put themselves in a situation where they are alone with a strange man? Now, someone may disagree and have a counter-argument but she did make a valid argument that has logic behind it. Just because she was giving off a vibe where she is blaming women doesn't mean her argument isn't sane. I'm glad you brought up the possibility of you and the man being stuck together and needing to work together to survive and make it out. Cause apparently most people are just assuming the man is a serial killer or something. There is no question a human is capable of far worse actions than any bear, but that doesn't mean it's more probable to end up with an evil person. The first guy brought up proximity and that's also a valid point. The statistics on likelihood of attack can't be directly compared because of this. If we replace all men in society with bears and women encounter dozens of bears every day, we won't have the same statistics. At the end of the day, this question is just rage bait. And one guy made a good point. The men saying "bear", it says something about themselves. Why are they thinking a man is going to do something bad? Does it say something about who they themselves are? In other words, if you yourself are a bad person but consider yourself an average guy, you would think the average guy is as bad as you. The guy at 20:45 explains the opposite. He is thinking "I'm an average guy, what would I do in that situation?". This is the kind of man you want to run into, not the men saying "bear". PS: Sorry, I forgot to answer the question. I would choose the man. Cause I think the highest probability is that if I am stuck deep in the woods, so is this other guy. And we can work together and increase our odds of survival. I don't think the average guy is going to have bad intent. And if I'm going out into nature, I would probably have a weapon anyway. Cause our natural state is to have tools and weapons, not be unarmed. So even if I lose the lottery and end up with Jeffrey Dahmer, it's going to work better against him than any bear.
First, the 1 in 2.1 million stat is misleading because people dont normally encounter a bear. The proper stat he should use is how many people who are attacked by a bear they encounter in a forest. Secondly, I would ask these men who think that a girl is much safer with a bear this one question. Would you convince a woman that she is safer with you over a bear?
Why don't you ask a man if he'd rather be in the woods with a dog or a woman?See what his response would be.Would that be amazing? The dog would bring him peace and security. What would the woman do

What type of man do you think is typically in the woods?

I think they’re confusing divine intervention with CGI and stupidity
Theres reality shows that have proven women cant be stuck in the woods WITHOUT a man lmao.

I would like to propose a reality show where women go and hang out with a bear.
I don't understand why it's controversial. Everybody just needs to use reason.

Just cam to say "This is so dumb"... I won't even watch this vid... I KNOW it's better stuff out here than this😂
