Damiano said that he enjoy withing English lyrics more because he can be more carefree, and in Italian he tends to rewrite too much to "get it right" (so he doesn't care if in English he sounds more goofy and the lyrics are more simple). But then , after saying that, he added: "The rage... the rage comes out in Italian".

The sooner he realizes the impact that his English lyrics have on the English speakers, the better. All Anglo-American reviewers object to them, and they're not old aunties.

I love mark chapman, is one of my favorites as well.
The fact is, is one of the less streamed, at the bottom with il dono della vita.
Not only in US, but in the whole world Italy included, despite all the ppl asking for Italian tracks, seems they don't stream enough lol
So see why they can't do a whole album like this, they need to remain relevant in order to continue doing music.
Also Maneskin is both Mark Chapman and Bla Bla Bla and Baby Said, so i'm sure they enjoy doing both things ❤️

@@vpersiana oh for sure. I'm just glad they are doing what they feel is right for them and don't listen to anyone. I would love to have more songs in Italian (which I don't even know,) that's for sure but I see why they didn't. I can only hope there will Teatro D'Ira Volume 2 but now I'm not so sure it will happen.

@@brainstorm0203 who knows, the album is already recorded (Måneskin words) since was originally intended to be released after eurovision. there's a rumor they could maybe drop it at the end of the year even if i kinda doubt it since probably some of the songs they did don't make sense anymore for them but who knows.
Il dono della vita was one of the songs that didn't make it on teatro d'ira vol.1 and we can enjoy it now so there's hope for the other songs as well.

    Without an identity

"sotto casa" even if is literally "under house" has a different neaning in italian. It's used to indicate the street around the door to your house, if someone is "sotto casa tua" (under your house) is outside your door, in the public street. If someone "ti sta aspettando sotto casa con un coltello in mano" he is waiting, knife in his hand, for you to go outside, to assault or kill you.

People seems that ask for more italian songs, but then listen the most poppish Baby said. That's why they need a blend of different sounds. Anyway Rush! is full of great songs for everyone. It is not specific to Chapman, it is about stalkers and all that “fans” that follows them and harass people
I see that all their Italians songs are heavy topics, sad, melancholy and I can understand why Damiano would avoid be in that mental state specially being away from home.
Also he mentioned that writing in Italian is way harder for him because how the language works and his own expectations.

It's not so much about how the language works, it's that in Italy the text is always important, the text is expected to "say" something, (not necessarily sad) you can't throw meaningless sentences because they wouldn't be "accepted". It is something that comes from afar, it is a country with a legacy of poets and opera composers, as well as many songwriters who have always given great importance to lyrics. Obviously there are also funny songs but they have a specific sector, they don't "remain" in history. You may have the best music ever, but if it has stupid lyrics it won't go far

I don't know if it's already been said but this record didn't start from a common center and then expand.
It started from the 4 corners (which represent the tastes of each of them) and went towards a common center which for me is the loneliest.
The Maneskin are 2 groups in one, the best group is the most real Rock live group that truly represents them and then the one necessary to continue making music which is the one in the studio.
For example Supermodel, Mammamia, Gasoline, Kool Kids, La Fine and The Loneliest (they are in Live in America) are other songs than the album so after seeing them live in my opinion we can give an opinion on the new album.
I don't think it's possible but I would make two albums with them, one in the studio for those who love Pop more and one taken from one of their live shows for those who love Rock more.

They felt so juvenille and its disappointing bc we all know they can write really good lyrics. The punk inspired songs were good (i mean its punk, its expected to be a bunch of nonsense and fun lyrics), but i think Don't wanna sleep and Feel were kinda cringy in terms of lyrics.

I also prefer it when they sing in Italian and (disclaimer) I live in Italy and usually hate songs in the native language. Despite what many people think (i.e. that Italian is very "cantabile"--singable--because of its association with opera), the truth is that the words are almost always twice as long as their English equivalents, so with pop music, the vast majority of songs come out sounding awkwardly packed with superfluous syllables. The rhythm is almost always compromised and they lack punch. Anyway, Damiano is amazing at writing in Italian and it's just so nice for people here to have something really good to listen to for a change.
Just an aside--this observation does not apply to all the languages spoken on the Italian peninsula. Neapolitan is an amazing language for pop music and the music scene there (i.e. in Naples) is vibrant and interesting. The problem is that so few people speak Neapolitan (less than a milliion) that the music rarely makes it out of the clubs and onto any kind of recording medium. Sad.
