Yunke is an amazing child, really a wonderful actor.
Should have stripped suyi title as great concort but left her son as title. and had someone else raise him, his mother was just using him as a tool and he will end up evil. She is pretty much ignored from now on and in this era being the daughter of a murderer is like being a poria in society so her life is really so over

@@kristinesharp6286 mmmhh...no, you are wrong. Her son could never be emperor, as he was a son of a prince, and NOT of the emperor. Suying's far flung burial spot was meant as an insult. Back then, ancestral worship was a huge deal, so by excluding her from the family tomb meant that she will never be worshipped by any future generations.

@@kristinesharp6286 I know you mean well, but this is my culture, my language, and my history, so I think I would know the lineage more. Prince Qing and the Emperor are brothers; therefore, unless the Emperor died without heirs and Prince Qing inherited the throne, Suying's son might have a chance to be an Emperor. But that was not the case here. The Emperor was alive, he had multiple male heirs (for example his 4th son (the next Emperor btw)was good friends with Yunke, so the chance of Prince Qing inheriting the throne was zero. Therefore, the chance of Suying's son becoming emperor was also zero.
However, I think I understand where your confusion come from. Suying's son will still inherit his father's Principality, so he will be the next Prince Qing. The Emperor was going to take the title away from him, and give it to Yunke (he is the eldest), but the queen grandmother said no because Meili wouldn't want to hurt Yunhe (Suying's son). So, instead Meili was upgraded to joint principal wife post death; therefore, her son Yunke is now considered a legitimate son instead of a bastard. So, going forward, even though Yunke won't inherit his dad's Principality, he will have all the honors of a legitimate son and will no longer have to take his brother's or anyone else's crap.

@@kienla4280 given the mortality rate of the era, the fact the family had concubines to ensure male heirs would survive to continue the family line, and knowing how people go behind one another’s backs to get rid of people literally as has been illustrated here anyone could be last man standing. Any rung up on the ladder is a victory. No matter how remote. People are greedy no matter how removed from reality the goal is. I honestly don’t understand why as a dead person I would want someone to sacrifice themselves to keep my grave company. That is the culture gap.
