When I first saw this opening of the credits many years ago as a kid, it never made sense to me about why is MGM being presented on the film and not PARAMOUNT. I did own this movie on VHS along with RKO's CIMARRON (1930) and UNIVERSAL's SHOW BOAT (1936) in which both films were bought by METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYOR and with its lion logo being presented first before the open credits started.

I saw DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE (1932) on the big screen at the STANFORD THEATRE in Palo Alto, California and the opening credits did not have ADOLPH ZUKOR's name credited. Because the original opening credits for the 1931 Christmas Eve release said Paramount Presents, I think the ADOLPH ZUKOR Presents was for the 1936 re-release of the film with added footages that don't exist today.

If MGM did not do the 1941 remake, than this 1932 classic would end up being with all the pre-1950 PARAMOUNT talkie films which were sold to the MCA Company in 1958 and later that company MCA would buy UNIVERSAL STUDIOS , but DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE (1932) would be included with the UNIVERSAL STUDIO MONSTERS CLASSIC COLLECTION like DRACULA (1931), FRANKENSTEIN (1931), THE MUMMY (1932), THE INVISIBLE MAN (1933), and THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935), it would've been great if UNIVERSAL had DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE (1932) in their movie vault and have complete ownership of it, who knows if UNIVERSAL decides to release this movie on Blu-Ray.

You are right by the fact that this Paramount classic was bought by MGM for a 1941 remake, and that remake SUCKED, the 1932 version RULES! Anyway I once owned a VHS of this 1932 horror classic, but now I still have the 2004 DVD of the 1932 and 1941 versions of DR. JEKYLL AND THE MR. HYDE.

This movie was released by Paramount Pictures and there's no Paramount Pictures logo.

This is because MGM bought the rights to it

+VCFLRadiofan66 well currently Warner Bros Entertainment and Turner Entertainment owns the rights to it due to Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde being part of the Pre-1986 MGM/UA library

And Warner Bros reinstated the old Paramount logo and removed the MGM one as evidenced on the DVD

@Tracy Jackson, I wish the MGM Studios never bought the 1932 film rights and MGM would never do the 1941 remake, and this would mean Paramount Studios would sell their movie of DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE (1932) along with their pre-1950 Paramount talkie films to MCA (Music Corporation of America) which this company later bought Universal Studios and DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE (1932) would be included with the Universal Studios Horror Movies along with Paramount's ISLAND OF LOST SOULS (1932) and Paramount's MURDERS IN THE ZOO (1933). Remember Universal Studios did make a movie called ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE (1953) and this movie does have a few elements from the 1932 Paramount Classic.
