Oh thank you! I’ll definitely add it to my list of tutorial ideas! This little color test failed but I think I can fix it for a full tutorial! Thank you for the feedback 💕
Beautiful, beautiful work! I think your tutorials so well done. You explain things so well and make everything seem completely do-able. Thank you for taking time to share your time and talent with us. I'll be looking forward to all future projects!!
Oh thank you! That is my mission, so your comment means a lot to me! I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages in the past and I think teaching the little ones helped to give me practice breaking things down so that they are understandable 💕
Oh wow! Thank you-this was a color study that didn’t work out as well as I wanted it too but I’ll definitely add this bird to my tutorial idea list! Oh

Love your work! I have some problems with the pigment on the "Hermatite Genuine" and was wondering how much water you use on the paint to make it as pigmented as you? I feel like it doesn't want to be dark without being sticky ..
Oh no! I’m so sorry you are having trouble… I mostly just let the water sit on the pan for a little before I begin painting or pour out fresh paint. But no, I don’t use a lot of water with it. It’s granular, so extra water can cause the pigment to move around and settle unevenly.

Mesmerizing. I think the secret to lifelike birds and animals is in the eyes. Great tips I’d never figure out on my own!
Thank you! The “lift” trick for watercolor is a game changer
The eyes are probably the most fundamental part of realism of the bird so thank you so much for these tips.
Yes! It makes such a difference if you can get away from those creepy dead looking eyes!
So beautiful! Very helpful. Would LOVE to see a full video on this bird 💕

This is the one I saw on pinterest, and it is going to come I handy as I do a lot of pet portraits. The eye pops in the right way.
Yes! It applies across the board-especially dogs too! I suppose I should make a version featuring a dog eye but I would use mostly the same process
Wonderful explanation of bird eyes! Very easy to follow thank you!
