    If the circuit is tuned great, then no controls might be needed. But if the circuit already has internal trimmers and switches, why not making them external and easily tweakable? It would definitely cost more, though.

      I just added volumes for people that don’t know how to set up a tube amp right :)

      Yeah i have not touched mine more than 2 times, because of using different amps. They're not needed overall.

    Interesting and nice pedal. Ironic: no controls pedal into multi tweakable AxeFx 😄

      that has the same patch going for each and every review since... the beginning 🤣

    Sounds like a dirtbike in high gear being sucked into another dimension

    It is like all pedals. The best sounds are usually heard when playing on one's own but add drums and a bass player and some pedals that I thought I would soon sell off became keepers. One pedal I own is a budget clone pedal of one I love but when I sing the budget pedal with its weak sustain is perfect so owning both is ideal.

      just need to learn how to work with your band and not against them.

    This is the pedal I've been waiting for (no controls). It's a bit too crispy in the high end (as seen in the EQ curves) but still pretty great sounding.

      Nothing you can't compensate with a little EQ-move on the amp

      I prefer it, the made in taiwan boss version has that sam-ish lack of a fizz-cut

      @riffsnoleads Рік тому +1

      @@vxidastronaut it's likely just YOUR MIT that is like that. Dome has a video that shows that HM2s made in the same country in the same year can still sound different than one another. Parts tolerances have come a long way in 40 years.

      @@riffsnoleads truth!
      but I remember that as a known spec difference, aside from 25yo caps and factory fresh parts tolerance. oh well, the research continues!

    open up the back abd experiment w it a bit ..if you dare...lol.turn both clean blend abd main dist volumes all the way down so the pedal makes no sound at all when engaged...now turn up the "clean" blend abd discover that this pedals "clean" blend is a very intense distortion that is bordering on straight extreme fuzz..
    it's apperantly not a clean blend.but a distorted blend.very very distorted.rhen if you want mix in the main hm2 distortion to taste.i turn th clean blend all th way down cuz it's way too much distortion.but on its own th "clean" blend makes this pedal a whole new different kind of beast..tight mode sounds good abd quiet but robs th hm2 signal of very important frequencies I think th hm2 needs to sound FULL.some other UA-camr trued to say that this pedals wasn't very high gain...lol.haha.okay whatever.maybe to a deaf man lol.take care and check out this intense distortion it hides.clean blends suck anyway unless your a bassist.this "clean" blend rules abd is thee best ever.in my opinion.
