Looking forward to seeing this segment, then to be continued on tonight's league night livestream to see how the Journey with surface works in a league environment with other bowlers.
Luis, another great video. I follow a number of of the bowling streams hear on UA-cam. I find that your content is the most informative and impactful for my game. Thank you and keep up the good work.
I wish you give some advice on my black vemon bowling ball. I need it just little bit early . I tried taking it to 2000 grit and I just kept getting rap around 10s.
I did finally subscribe and turn on that bell. I do enjoy the content and being a Vegas local, it's nice to follow others that are here. When do you typically do your videos. I bowl at Sam's town Wednesday league and Sunday practice. I'd love to pick your brain when it comes to layout and ball recommendations. I'm a 220 average 2 handed bowler with good speed and decent reviews rate, I like the nice even curve. Not the all right and then a left turn. Hope to catch ya on the lanes soon
Or just change the surface to fine tune it for your game. This comment makes no sense at all lol you think the pros are out there using out of box finish on balls? Or even high level amateurs! Lol
@@LuisNapoles I know that they're not, but they should be. The designers chose that finish for a reason, and it's incredibly disrespectful to act like you know better than they do.
@@MikeDCWeld this has been discussed a lot over the years. A lot of times the finish they put on a ball, is for display purposes in the pro shop. Every single pro touches the surface on every single ball that they throw. The surface from factory is a good starting point. It may work for a lot, but everyone's game and every house is different.
@@jasonlong8420 if the factory surfaces are only meant for display in pro shops, why aren't they all the same? Even if only within each brand or line? Why go through the effort for multiple-step factory surfaces if it's not to give a certain performance?
@@MikeDCWeld it's not the only reason, but this isn't something I've come up with. There are many pro shop operators that have told me this. Some colors look good shiny, some look good dull. There's honestly no reason for all of these new releases all the time anyway. It's all marketing and money! My son is a two-hander who throws a 18mph. He has surface on pretty much every ball he owns, or it just flies through the breakpoint. All his balls give him different reactions, even if they have the same surface, especially on the sport stuff. I'm a one-hander with high revs he throws it around 16 mph, I need a little help getting it through the fronts, so I like some shine on some of my equipment. Like I said, box finish is a great starting point. If it works for you, awesome, if it doesn't, hit it with a pad! 👍 Ask Stu Williams, one of his favorite balls is a polished Reality. Far from box finish.

Totally totally spot on Luis. I hit mine with the pas and a world of difference it made...

220 Average Bowler has 33.7k subs, which is where you are right now... 👍
We right near each other!

WOW! I appreciate that so much!
I would hit the Journey with a 3k sanding pad since I have a Phaze 2 with 2k surface for the fresh.
I prefer it with polish!
So I just wanted tell you thank you. I resurfaced my dou bowling ball just like you said, and wow it works great.
Why don’t you compare the Journey with the Phaze II?
Because he’s trying to sell new balls, not provide useful info
@@nathanielfuentes5294daaaaamnnnn son!
@@nathanielfuentes5294if you really believe that then you’re not paying attention and that’s okay. I get that most people won’t get it
Working on that
Ok all set for tomorrow night tru cut sand pad 2000 .no shine at all ready to tear the lanes up.can’t wait thanks in advance
Enjoyed this. Sure it wouldn’t be good for me as slow speed low rev player but it looked good with surface
I like it more with the polish
I can’t wait to buy mine when it releases
It’s out now!

Ok I'm getting a journey for christmas
Hope you love it bro!
I can wait to get this ball on the lanes.
I hope you love it!

Thanks for the sub! Yea come chat next time im there! Before or after im filming!
@@LuisNapoles what days and times do you do them? Looking forward to it
Did u try surface on the vebo?
I hit mine with 2000 and like it quite a bit better than box finish
2000 lightly by hand, and it gets better
I have yea and I prefer it with polish
With surface, wonder what it look like versus the XPONENT?
It should be earlier and snappier. Xponent should be a really good step down from the Journey
Xponent will be smoother for sure still
Can you do a 2023 tier list
Coming soon! Now that I have the 78 U I can make a full list
How's the shiny Journey look vs the Zen Gold Label?
Nope!
I’ll take two
Three!
I think Belmo saw this video.
That would be dope!
I like it better shiny
Me too!!!!
So you turned the Journey into a Phaze 2? 🤔
Basically 😂😂
If you don't like the finish that the designers felt was proper for it, just buy/use a different ball.

@@LuisNapoles your welcome
costs $20-$30 more cause it has a belmo logo on it, that's why I'm not buying it

Please work on your backswing. It looks like a 2018 video without image stabilization.
All over it boss 😂
