Thanks a million! I had to remove the action inorder to glue a couple of key tops back on to my Yamaha GB1. This video was essential to my success. Thank you!!
We have a Weber baby grand and our sheet desk slides in and out on a brass bar. When we moved our piano one of the brass bars got misplaced. Can you tell me where I can purchase another one?
Thank you! I am getting a Yamaha like the one you are showing, but it has a few keys with chipped edges. Is it possible to remove the bad keys once the action is removed, or is there more disassembly required?
Actually in many cases you don't have to remove the action to replace a keytop or two on a Yamaha. Yamaha keytops are just the top (vs top and front - no vertical part) so you pop off the old one, lightly sand the top of the key to get a good gluing surface and then put the new one on. Best of luck!
This is an awesome video.thank you

How do you know if the action is lined up correctly
I can not get my fall board to open all the way up.
Not terribly dissimilar to a Young Chang.
You are correct! Very similar to many makes.
But there are some differences to german grands (my Blüthner for ex.)
The fallboard is different and there are wingnuts
