Looking back at these old interviews of Gaga makes me tear up, I finally understand her from an adult POV. When she emerged I was just a small kid who looked up to this woman but never really grasped the complexity of her journey as I didn’t have one to relate…yet….I mourn every time I see past vids of Gaga, kinda how Gaga first mentions in the vid…
I realise now I’m about the same age she was here, or almost, and it’s almost unbelievable to me how organised and how intelligent and how successful she was already so young.

To me peak Gaga was here because is here in The Fame Monster era when she defined her style as an artist, the darkness, the visuals, the interludes, the name of her fan base, the improved darker singing vocals, lower tones, the music, of course she would evolve it even further with Born This Way to push the boundaries even further, but this one paved the way, and what The Monster Ball Tour did in Pop Culture not even the BTW Ball reached that, BTW Ball was a better concert, musically and visually, but Monster Ball Tour & this era put her in the map, also being bankrupt after the Fame if this album hadn't work out the way it did, she would probably be dropped from the label as an "experiment that didn't work" she was like 3 millions in debt, but of course her talent, carisma, intelligence and stage presence, she was a force of nature, unstoppable. This era saved Gaga's career and I think Bad Romance will forever be her top song, the most remembered and recognized of all. Epic! 👌🏻♥️

Oh I love this interview! I saw it in 2009, she was so young, only 3 years older than me (she was 23 at the time) and already such a GENIUS!!! I felt incredibly inspired by her when I discovered her it was during the Paparazzi era, before Bad Romance came out, my creativity and analitic thinking evolved because of her at this point, I was always very into Alfred Hitchcock films, old black and white movies and been into Arts since I have memory, I immediately identified myself with her, this girl was me, I was her, we got each other you could say (well she doesn't know me but me as a Little Monster, she sees herself in her fans) I just love how clever it was, the concept of the dark side of Fame, the yin yang in one album, The Fame & The Fame Monster together, The Fame as the bright side of "wanting to be famous" although it was about feeling famous even when people don't know who you are, exploring the excesses of famous/celebrity life, Drugs, Sex, Money, Parties, etc. And Paparazzi being the perfect bridge into TFM era because in Paparazzi we see the death of the blonde icon who was murdered by Fame, it got darker, and then we have the dark side of Fame, when you're already dealing with top Fame and the dangers that comes with a famous life, the insecurities, the loneliness, the Monsters or Fears as she calls them, that voice in your head that tells you bad things, the voices or monsters in your mind that complot against you by means of Fear, of intimacy, of suffocating, of sex, of addictions, of death. The psychotic mental break when your mind is pushed to the limits. The toxicity of a relationship and so on. It's so brilliant and in all honesty I think conceptually this is Lady Gaga's best album, in terms of putting together a well rounded concept for an entire album and era, both The Fame & TFM as one, the light and the dark sides of Fame. Also loved that she used a look or a visual for every single, in Paparazzi is the Lady with the teacup and british hats and big shoulderpad jackets and boots, in Bad Romance the 50s Monster movie blonde or vampire, Telephone era very Andy Warhol Pop Art inspired look with electric yellow curly hair and pink lips, Alejandro short blonde hair, blonde eyebrows, black suits, pale face. Is like every music video came alive in the real world too, it was a perpetual performance, she would walk the streets like she's still inside the video, life mimics art, life is Art. Loved it! Love her!!! ♥️♥️♥️👌🏻👄🕶️⚡
