Cosmic brushes has a warm palette that is amazing. I also have the undergrowth palette. A green lover's dream palette. Unearthly cosmetics has a palette called sorcerers smoke amazing. Indie eyeshadow brands are coming out with really nice neutral palettes lately. You rock!

Hi Shelley my most used makeup of 2024 for my extremely dry rosacea and eczema prone skin were:
Hourglass No28 primer - it's an oil and silicone mix that's great for dry skin as it smoothes and is moisturising
Dior forever glow in shade 00 - my perfect shade match and wears all day without powder. Works really well over the above primer for me
Dior forever concealer in shade 00 - I use it sparingly around my eyes and to get extra cover for my rosacea. Once again a perfect shade match
Ilia skin tint in the dropper bottle was my most used light coverage product
Dior lavender loose powder - has a bit of a glow and lavender is even more brightening than pink on ultra pale skin
Em cosmetics liquid blush in little lilac was my most used blush
RMS living luminizer waa my highlight
I don't use bronzer as they are a weird shade on me
Dior backstage cool neutral eye palette was my most used but my most fun palette was cosmic beauty Winter wonderland 😂
Sephora eyeliners were my most used
Nyx lipliner was my most used
UD backtalk lipstick is my perfect nude and was my most used
Catrice lip oil was my most used gloss
Clio red cap kill lash mascara was my most used as it's completely budgeproof for my lower lashes ( might be a less expensive alternative to the EL you like?)
There you go my most used makeup of the year. Best wishes x

    1. Eyeshadow - I’ve been back to single shimmer eyeshadows either liquid or pencil
    2. Lip - A MAC lip pencil, some lip stain by k beauty and lawless gloss on top
    3. Mascara - was all about the caliray and now I’m all about Haus labs
    4. Foundation - I’m back to Nars light reflecting for medium coverage and Lisa Eldridge skin tint for light coverage
    5. Primer - ritual de fille priming oil still rules
    6. Cream Blush - split my time between Haus labs and fwee
    7. Powder blush - split my time between hourglass and Haus labs
    8. Contour / bronzer - fenty beauty combo of soft amber and sinnamon
    9. Highlighter - rare beauty eye brightener
    10. Color corrector - lightest peach shade from Haus labs
    11. Mixing spray - mac fix +
    12. Setting spray - makeup by Mario
    13. Brows - elf laminating brow gel

Going to give ritual another go on the concealer and 3 drop foundation soon - it pains me that I haven’t been able to harness the magic that you experience.,

I have mature skin at 62, and I cannot stop reaching for the Elf Soft Glam foundation. When such an affordable foundation looks so pretty on my skin, I really don't feel like I need to buy high end products!! (I love using the Halo Glow powder, and the Kosas Cloud Set powder under my eyes.)

I got serious about getting back into makeup 2 months ago and I am writing down the brands you mentioned but also in the comments section. So many to try. Thank you for the video 🧡

@binderkim If you don't mind me asking, what is your eye routine? Do you use a primer on your lids? I tried one and it was awful on me.

Hi Shelly!! I can’t wear makeup to work anymore (I work as an IV room tech in a hospital so it’s a aseptic thing) so i have been really particular about what makeup I’ve been spending my money on, it’s sad because I love makeup 😢!! If it isn’t recommended by yourself or Emily Noel, I probably haven’t purchased it, so I really appreciate these “best of” videos! I bought the Dragon palette after you reviewed it and you did NOT steer me wrong!! It’s stunning!! Thank you for sharing!! Can’t wait for the foundation and skincare videos!!

Your feelings for the Dragon's Eye palette is how I feel about my BH Cosmetics' Smitten in Switzerland palette. All the color families I would use are present; there's a range of dark, midtone and light in most of the families, and at least dark and light in a few; a wild card shade; shimmers and matte; 2 perfect neutral transition mattes; a vanilla matte for the browbone or for overall lightening; a black and a few other dark mattes for liner shades and deep corners... it's my perfect palette. It's been with me for 3 years now, and I probably shouldn't be using it anymore, but it's still giving so much and hasn't been crumbling or dropping dust everywhere. I've since acquired other "staple" palettes; Natasha Denona, Anastasia, Colourpop, Lorac, Nabla, Viseart...that BH Cosmetics formula and color grouping beats them all. So glad I can still get excited about makeup, and glad to see you do too! Thanks for the video!

Alter Ego had a banner year in 2024. Misthaven is terrific -- I love it. But I also got Dreamgaze with beautiful pastels, and Shadow Kiss and Daylight with great neutrals. I have high end and Alter Ego and I can never tell the difference. But it is the Alter Ego brush sets that surprised me the most. They are amazing. Terrific quality and very inexpensive. I have bought several sets. I hate washing brushes. 🤣 I also have the new Natasha Denona mini eye sculpt. I hesitated because it is all matte and looks boring, but I reach for it constantly. This is the perfect set of basics for my cool undertone light/fair skin. I love it. But I guess it is a 2025 palette.

I think Gen Alpha is not into eyeshadow right now so we are seeing less of it. However, I got too many great eyeshadow palettes last year by exploring some indie brands I hadn’t bought from before. Wicked Widow made a Crow palette that was awesome, Bella Beaute Bar’s Poison Garden and Vamp palettes are great, Fatally Yours II from Melt, Harvest of Souls from Fantasy Cosmetica… all amazing releases. Ensley Raine had some great launches too but their whole weird IG thing has me turned off from the brand. I’d explore some of those if you’re looking for some cool and unique shadows.
