you can jam a portion of the spectrum used by the key fob to prevent the car from picking it up, capture the signal on the unblocked portion, and replay the code later. the only issue is if the code has already been received
True, but you need to be close enough, or have an amplifier for the signal, jamming doesn't work even from 1 meter away. Very hard to actually do that in real life.
The code will not be the next code, cars today use rolling codes via a secret algoritme that makes up codes that the blip and car expect. Those times with recording the code and just use it again is over.

@@hml Sorry man, I really do not believe that you can emulate hotel doors like VingCard or Salto. Those systems are very secure and the Flipper zero will bite the dust.
While this might be true, I haven't encountered those systems in the wild. I have successfully copied the hotel cards in about 10 different hotels in the US (Marriot, Hilton and Hyatt), one resort in Greece (the one in the video) and in WeWork... So it seems to be working well enough in the real world. Not saying it works always, just in enough real life cases to be useful.

6:17 Again that's a maybe. A lot of Volkswagen auto group cars (VW, Skoda, SEAT, Audi, maybe even Porsche and Lambo) are vulnerable as until 2016 they used 4 seed codes for *ALL THEIR MODELS* you just need to know where the car is at on the roll and you can then unlock. They use unencrypted lock/unlock ends to their codes too. I wouldn't call *millions* of cars "very few exceptions" Haven't seen those 4 seed codes available easily, though I bet they're out there, or you could just buy an ECU and rip it from the memory. However it's outside the primary F0 userbase ability. Additionally (most) rolling code systems are one way, meaning the car doesn't communicate with the fob, to my understanding at least, they just work off tables of 64,000 (or more, eg 128k) codes and have a 64 code wiggle room for synchronization, though this does depend.
Wow, I wasn't aware so many cars from the VAG group are using the same 4 seed codes! That's just crazy, especially for a car, especially in 2016. What the heck were they thinking? Thanks for that! Yeah, most rolling codes are one way, but still, if you capture a few codes from a fob, then replay it with them F0, and the fob went too far off - the car might stop accepting codes from the fob, rendering the fob unusable. I know it happens with BMW and a few other brands. Thanks for the info!
Oh, I mixed up "$80 million worth of devices" with "80 million devices". 🤦♂️ Sorry about that. Did you like the rest of the video? Would love to do a follow up video with your teams input 😉
There are a few car brands that are very vulnerable, so you could pretty easily hack them. For the more modern/secure ones - that's a challenge. So even if you brute force opening the door, which is very hard, you still won't be able to start the car.

I've been using mine without a screen protector, and it doesn't scratch much, but I guess a screen protector could be good. I 3D printed my case, but you definitely should buy or print a case. The extra boards - you just plug them into the GPIO connectors, very easy. Depends on the board - did you get the wifi board? With a custom firmware you can block WiFi signal, and capture WiFi. With a regular custom board, you can add a stronger IR blaster and a bunch of other things.

Can it brute force doors without swipe cards or keys? I am licenced and require something Ike this for work could you please inbox me to explain a bit more
Very much depends on the door - if it's just an NFC with a fixed code - in many cases, yeah, it can, but it takes time (long time). If it's a door with modern encryption or rolling codes - then no. Feel free to come to our Discord and I'll gladly talk more about this.
What kind of a horn are we talking about? A car horn? If it's an old car, and you can record the signal from his remote - maybe? At least you can shut it down when it goes off
Wow, it is banned on Amazon for what? being small and convinient? My phone can already do quite a lot of the stuff you mentioned, but with a slew of different apps of varying quality... Also when the remote stopped to work for the air-conditioner i tested maybe 20 apps for IR blasting before I realizes that my unit is rebranded brand here in Sweden .. when I got the right brand name it worked in most of them. such joy when it doesn’t work and the weather keeps shifting outside.
It was banned on Amazon because it can copy credit/debit card numbers and therefore labeled as a card skimmer, when in reality you can't do much with those info because it cannot decode the card's encrypted CVV security code.
I dunno, I've been carrying it daily for over half a year now, and I do not think it's too bulky... Especially for the flexibility it offers you, and especially if you compare it to what you would have to carry if you would carry a Pi, with all the various hats it includes. It also saved me in so many different situations, that it's definitely worth having in my backpack.
I did mention that you can brute force a gate, but I didn't show it in the video. But yeah, it's very easy to cross the law, especially with a powerful custom firmware like Unleashed or Xtreme.
Sure, but you need an external Sub-Ghz hat, an IR circuit, custom software, a serious battery hat, an iButton circuit, an LCD + buttons, an RFID/125k circuit... and no way all of this would fit in your pocket. So while in theory it's true - you can do all of that with a Raspberry Pi, and it might even be cheaper, it definitely won't be as convenient.
It's a lot of "it depends". You can use the Bad USB over Bluetooth to try to quickly enter codes or open malicious websites, there is an attack that would paralyze iPhones before the latest software update through Bluetooth LE. There are a few other phone hacks you could do, but it depends on what you're trying to do.
@hml my co-worker is has a flipper and he goes around trying to hack people's phone. He even asked me if my Bluetooth was on, so i turned it off. But im not sure what he's trying to do
Yeah, there was an issue with being able to crash iPhones easily with a Flipper Zero, but it was fixed: www.theverge.com/2023/12/15/24003406/apple-iphone-flipper-zero-fix-ios-17-2
Actually, both are correct, depending on where you're from: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gigahertz. Americans are more commonly pronouncing it "GIGA", however since "giga" comes from Greek, and is in the metric system, I think the European pronunciation is a better match here 😉
@hml lol never thought about that but yeah that too. But the one that they have it in the computer and let's say you have 40 hours for the whole year plus when you accumulate hours.
It's a tool, and the issue is not with the tool itself, but how it's used. I use it to open my own doors, garage, office, control the TV in at my mom's, since she lost her remote, and control the AC in hotels in rooms I cannot control it otherwise... Nothing illegal. Others could use it to brute force an unsecure door... Why are axes, saws and hammers legal? After all - you could use an axe to break a door, saw to cut somebody's gas line, and a hammer to break a window, or worse... And yet - they are still legal! Why?
Did the da same thing saw n was hmmmm then when amazon ban it I was like sold I gotta have it and I got the WiFi dev board and man do I love mess in up ppl wifi..this device is capable of so many things .😊love it .get u one before they stop selling .and if it not for you u can always sell it hear there goin out of stock quick..so jump on it and join the flipper gang..

If you buy it just as a universal remote, it's definitely a waste of money. If you buy it as essentially "a digital leatherman" - it really is amazing.
interesting... it is a little difficult to understand you sometimes...perhaps if you talked a little slower. still....I have been on the fence about getting one and your video convinced me to move forward. thanks
Thanks!! Greatly appreciate
Glad it helped!
Hey, can it be used to gain acceess to another player's account In Call of Duty?? We have some weird stuff going on right now..
its to hack hardware not in game files lol
simple answer is no, sorry
how do you add the wework card as you said it was encrypted?
You scan it with the flipper and then use the mobile app to decrypt it
@@hml oh ok I’ve just ordered one to use it for those rfid cards and 2 factor key thing
Where to buy ?
Love from India
I'm sorry, I don't know where to order it in India, but it's seems you can buy it from Etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/1583152494/pinball-flipper-flipper-zero-multitool?click_key=7fb8a52af785e7c3c0a0c3b3c352efa80a8bdbd5%3A1583152494&click_sum=99738efc&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=flipper+zero+device&ref=sr_gallery-1-14&pro=1&frs=1
Is this Mac/Apple friendly?
Absolutely, as you can see in the video, I use a Mac myself, and everything works perfectly.
very interesting synopsis - thank you!

Can it hack from rf from 10 khz till 6 ghz?
No, of cause not!😁
But it has a long lasting battery and all the many tools that you had
to carry around with you separately , are built in in a cute little case! 😁
Google it yourself !
No, the Flipper Zero RF is Sub-Ghz (300 and 928 MHz). So only within this range.
Rolling code car key is posible to do just only 1 time. Pozdrav
Thank you bro, you explained me about this device very deeply
Love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳...
I'm glad it was useful! Lots of love to India from Israel and Serbia 😃
What watch are you wearing?
This is the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4.
❤thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! It means a lot to me!
3. No, only thing with cars are tesla charging ports
Actually, in old Hondas and a few others, you can abuse security holes to open them.
Can it be used to mute my neighbor’s alarm horn? (Alarm will still be active, but the honking would stop.)
What kind of a horn are we talking about? A car horn? If it's an old car, and you can record the signal from his remote - maybe? At least you can shut it down when it goes off
Just curius how much you payed? I know markup was crazy during covid. Use mine daily too
I paid a lot, since I bought it from a private importer from Germany, something like $250. But don't regret it one bit.
hi just curious, is it possible to bypass subway turnstiles with this device
To bypass - not as far as I know. To still somebody else's public transit card - pretty easy.
Thanks
You're welcome!
It was banned on Amazon because it can copy credit/debit card numbers and therefore labeled as a card skimmer, when in reality you can't do much with those info because it cannot decode the card's encrypted CVV security code.
i think this device is a bit too bulky for daily carry. Also this is 314 AUD in australia.
Thanks, I learnt a lot from this video.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this video 👍
4. I have no fuc*ing idea but think in some cases
Key words: Firmware firmware firmware!
Well, there's a limit to what tbr hardware can do, so it's not just firmware. But yeah, firmware can unlock a lot of what this device can do.
Great video!
Thank you so much! 🙏
Jel imas na stanju i koja je cena ?
Sorry, I do not sell them, however you can find them on kupujemprodajem.com easily.
Yes.
Absolutely.
2. Yes
This thing is basically a sonic screwdriver
Absolutely sonic screwdriver.
I think that cards yea but without CVV
Awesome! So glad you participated in my little "Truth or Hype" game!
You are missing a bunch of things that it can make u in trouble just for trying like the brute force a gate
I did mention that you can brute force a gate, but I didn't show it in the video. But yeah, it's very easy to cross the law, especially with a powerful custom firmware like Unleashed or Xtreme.
@@hml should try RM FW
HYPE, because you can do all it does on a raspberry pi
Sure, but you need an external Sub-Ghz hat, an IR circuit, custom software, a serious battery hat, an iButton circuit, an LCD + buttons, an RFID/125k circuit... and no way all of this would fit in your pocket. So while in theory it's true - you can do all of that with a Raspberry Pi, and it might even be cheaper, it definitely won't be as convenient.
@@hml And the pi's battery is drained within 2-3h 😁
5. I think so
Can it hack a phone.?
Great video thank you.😊
Thanks for watching!
It's GIGahertz... not JIGahertz
Actually, both are correct, depending on where you're from: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gigahertz. Americans are more commonly pronouncing it "GIGA", however since "giga" comes from Greek, and is in the metric system, I think the European pronunciation is a better match here 😉
@@hml that is AWESOME! I was just playing no offense intended!
None taken, was curious myself 😂 thank you for watching and commenting!
Can you hack your work place and change your hours?
You mean the work clock? Where you mark that you arrived/left?
@hml lol never thought about that but yeah that too. But the one that they have it in the computer and let's say you have 40 hours for the whole year plus when you accumulate hours.
ah, I never used an hour counting system, so I don't really know, but which one do you have at work, could be interesting to dig around a bit?
scary! why is it legal? im so sick of hackers
Why?
vide resumen , hype , btw i also have 1
Vide resumen?
Did the da same thing saw n was hmmmm then when amazon ban it I was like sold I gotta have it and I got the WiFi dev board and man do I love mess in up ppl wifi..this device is capable of so many things .😊love it .get u one before they stop selling .and if it not for you u can always sell it hear there goin out of stock quick..so jump on it and join the flipper gang..
All aboard the Flipper train! I cannot wait to see what they will cook for us with Flipper One (I assume they are working on one)
Hope so..hey whats best way to load pocsag subgz .to used like in lowes or Walgreens .ect.. Cant find it and the ble too.any ideas .thanks
Even garage doors now use rolling codes, and Flipper is useless for those.
Flipper Zero can emulate rolling codes, it's just messy and need to find/code apps for specific cases...
basicly a keychain
Sure, if the keychain can send RF, IR signals, supports Bluetooth, can emulate a keyboard and a mouse, and can run Doom 😉
@@hml I mean, for the normaluser it would be a keychain 99% of the usecases. I can see the fun factor though ;-)
Nice vid but if dimoesnt do more than galf of these things😅
Sure it does, it does all of this and more... Just some require knowledge, and some are overrepresented on social media.
Flipper my wallet is zero.
It's not really that expensive for what it does 🙂 unless you buy it at a scalped price, of course.
@@hml either i buy one and it drains my account or someone steals my credit card and drains my account XD
1. NO
That's very concise. Thank you.
You do not put a question, can flipper hacking wifi pass... 😂
Well, without a separate addon it doesn't have wifi at all, and even with the wifi dev board it cannot hack a wifi password. You'll have to use your laptop for this.
@@hml want ask two questions.
1. How to save created ssid name on flipper? So no need to re-created again when to use it
2. How to make ssid name with two word without undescore/underline or just use space?
Thank you

Thank you! Glad you enjoy the content!
A great video with a side of Rick Roll lol.
A Rick roll just adds a special something 😉 thank you!
i bought one for 300€ and its a paperweight for me.. sadly im too lazy to understand a lot of this, but funnywise im still glad to have one XD
That's a shame, but they have amazing resell value, so if it's really a paperweight and you don't want to invest time into learning how to use it - better sell it, so others can enjoy.
Great video, thanks. Your case print gave me cancer.
lol, yeah, thanks! This yellow TPU wasn't easy to print with, and I really wanted it to be yellow :-) But I get what you're saying.
That video by Farlie is fake
The video is fake, but the technique and tools are real. They work only on specific traffic lights that have this system in place, though.
dont lie, it does not have 80 million units sold
Yeah, it was clarified already a few times in the comments, including by Flipper Devices founder - when that video came out, they sold $80m worth of devices, not 80 million devices.
nice vid :)
Спасибо :)

Where are you from?
@@hml croatia, did you ever go to a professional to train how to pronounce? There is help, Not being mean generally interested in people who cant pronounce..
We're neighbors then 😃
Lol although you're right with the right frequency of ir and from the right angle and distance however that Peter fairli vid and most if not all of his other flipper content is staged or just flat out faked. That driving one is one of the worst executed of his fakes too
Maybe it's fake, but I did look it up, and the theory behind the video is solid - those signaling systems are actually used in the US, and they can actually be manipulated by strong IR impulses.
@hml Yes, there are two frequencies. One changes it instantly, and one takes a few seconds. It's also used in gated areas of all kinds. That frequency is 14hz. Some also require 120db of sound to activate too.
Thank you, that's very helpful!

boring
It’s ok, it’s not beer, not everybody should find it exciting 😏
@@hml sorry i already watched video about flipper zero plus i cant distinguish the difference between something like a raspberry pi and the flipper zero.
@@justaneric The difference is that the Flipper Zero is small and portable, has a battery that lasts weeks, and has a bunch of sensors built in, that on a Pi would require large and bulky HATs. It also comes with an OS that makes it easy to use all of this on the go.
@@hml I could still write drivers though that would recognize the values from each sensor
@@justaneric You don't really need to write it, the Flipper OS already gets the data from each sensor. But yeah, you can write custom software to add functionality to the Flipper. On a Pi, you could of course write code that gets the data from all the sensors you attach, which is going to be a challenge in itself. BTW, the Flipper hardware is open, so if you really want to, you can make your own "Flipper-compatible device" from scratch, but why would you do this?
