The only famous source regarding Muslims burning LoA is single text by Ibn alQafti (who was later copied by Bar Hebraeus, according to your own source). AlQafti actually quotes it from Ibn alAbari (d. 1286). This narration (which I'm too lazy to copy) says that Yahya alNahawi went to Amr ibn alAas (the Gov. of Egypt) and was received honorably because Amr respected people of intellect - alNahawi shared some philosophical words that the Arabs weren't used to and then asked for 45,120 volumes of books that were located in the royal stores.
As the story goes ==> Amr then writes to Umar and Umar oders that these books be burned if they contradict the Qur'an. Nevermind that Umar had never done this before (or since), nor that he had studied nonMuslim sources like the Bible and protected Churches. Whatever...
It turns out there is an even earlier narration via Abdul Latif alBaghdadi

Great summary. I was disappointed to hear him iterate debunked theories.
The glorious library was long gone prior to Arabs arrival.
