+Jordan Calder That's really interesting considering the underlying feeling of "You can't save anyone" of the movie. I guess there are other interpretations to find. Still, you have this jaded atheist's sincerest good wishes :)
Wait a catholic priest? The whole entire message of the movie seemed like he was a good man destroyed by his organization. I understand wanting to be a perish after seeing this movie a bit but Catholic?
I was in Turkey on holidays and watching this when the scene came on and it showed the land I realised how much I adore my home and how connected my soul is to the place.
What an incredible piece of music the entire album has. I loved this film and the music is just haunting, sad and so beautiful that it really served the film so well the music alone would get my teary eyed.
I JUST finished watching this film for the first time. This music really put me on a whole new level of emotion. It is hard to see life through someone else's eyes. No one's life is perfect. I recommend checking this film out! Great story!!
Amen to no one's life is perfect. The iconic Baptist minister Charles Spurgeon said hundreds of years ago "few men could read their own autobiographies if all of their life's deeds were included in it." He was...and is...right.
Just let go, dont hold on, your not in control and you never will be. They say that the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesnt exist, but the truth is that the greatest trick God ever pulled is convincing us the we have control over ourself and the world around us. You may say to yourself "what is this, what is life?" I can surely tell you that i have no idea, but there surely is God and there surely is a Devil.
Wonderful movie and I don't say that often. Everything about it was so content rich and a wonderful testimony to all involved - script writers, cast, characters, scenery etc etc I'm originally from Rush, couny Dublin where, I believe, the scene towards the end of the film was shot - walking thru village towards the beach. The film has been on sbs movie channel (Australia) celebrating Irish month.
Pat music is very less. Yet the less he does it the more your shall receive. The theme is like gentle sea waves....it pulls you in. Pat is a master at emotions....
WoW, no he visto esa pelicula....pero esa musica me toque mi corazón y alma y sentí mucha paz enterno...gracias y espero voy encontrar esa paz con una mujer que voy encontrar algun dia...
Always question your motives in this life and reflect, it is only there you can truly meet yourself and the Lord. Know this well, we are ALL verily froward on this earth and there is no changing it, only acceptance and awareness. None of us will ever please the Lord, none of us ever have.
Semi-apocriphal quotes: "When nobpdy talks about death near you, you realize that you are near finished"-the old writer. "Oh, whites, blacks, bah blah blah"-Father James. "I'm nine parts of cynism and one part of humanitarism"-The Doctor. With dirty woman: "-Father, save me please. -If you don't want to be saved, I cannot save you". After church arson, with the policeman: "-Some day, people may be astonished remembering when in other times old people believed in a bearded old who lived in Heaven. -You don't really know human spirit".

Im not godly, im not good, im not worthy of anything and im not hardly human anymore, im more animal now than man, if you think of me just think of hate and i will be there.
@@irishmorgc9493 I believe it is Irish Gaelic, as opposed to Scotch Gaelic, which is both similar and yet different. I know a bit (actually very little bit) of Irish Gaelic and it certainly sounds like it.
I think Jenny is wrong, with all due respect. I believe the singer is Iarla O'Lionaird, a well known Irish singer, although not well known in my country (US). As far as I know, Patrick Cassidy, as amazing as a composer there is, does not sing.
The language is Irish and its the words of the Beatitudes; ''Blessed are you when people abuse, and persecute you and speak all kinds of calumny against you for my sake, rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in Heaven''. etc
Patrick Cassidy.... pure genius. A quintessential lamentation, as is the film.
This is my all-time favourite movie. And it made me want to be a priest, which I'm still trying to do. Pray for me, thanks.

WhiteTuxMafiaAndFilms This movie made me want to be a Catholic priest too haha
+TheBusttheboss but why?
This movie delivered to me such a rare and beautiful feeling. Beautiful, truly beautiful.
I was in Turkey on holidays and watching this when the scene came on and it showed the land I realised how much I adore my home and how connected my soul is to the place.
my film of 2014 - that this was ignored is proof that the oscars etc know fuck all about good film making.
You are right. There wasn't one even close to it.
what a brilliant soundtrack, it truly was an emotional journey

Absolutely astonishing movie. As every other film from both McDonagh brothers
I've never been able to shake this film from my heart

The bass drum is pure cliff thunder, as the vocals aim for the rocks...

Just because your eyes are open doesnt mean the dream has to end. Live, give, dream and lose yourself from this temporal world.
Film of Art. 1000000000000
I hear Hans Zimmer (Batman) I hear some of Oblivion. A strange sad peace...a heartfelt peace!
As much as I like Hans ZImmer, Patrick Cassidy takes a back seat to no one.

I love the movie also since the beginning of 2015! What a masterpiece! The music also. This theme is little similar to a Batman Begins theme.
Movie is on UK Netflix now. Fantastic show.
Great film
This films socks you in the emotion- plexus
Thanks, was looking for this!

What language is this song in?

It's Irish.
