As a Historical Wargamer, if you're not exactly embarking on a life-long Napo endeavour, making your miniatures too precious won't ever get them to the table. A process like this, that makes them identifiable and believable at scale is just what most people, who actually wanna play, need.
Yes, painting mustaches and earrings at 15mm Old Guards. Exactly my thing... 😏
@@totalburnout5424 I'm the same with my French & Indian War stuff. We all got our "effort" niche.
@@nerzenjaeger 😂👌🏻
Solid painting tutorial! Easy to follow. Clear steps and nicely done!
Glad it was helpful!
I haven’t bought FoW in a long time and didn’t realize they had gone to plastics. I have all lead. Lol. I think your 15mm painting videos are really excellent resources for the community.
Cheers Joe, yeah they've been plastic for quite a while, but some of their older ranges are still metal.
I love mid-England Northern accents! Keep talking mate!!!!!
Alex, another solid video! Of course I'm writing to say thanks for calling these troops "Soviet" and not "Russian", an especially important distinction in 2022-2023. All the best, as always.
Thank you!
Nice! The nicest figures I did in plastic were NVA but this was a long time ago and I used a black undercoat before these shades were around but I am being converted. Plastics have a lot going for them although old plastics can lack some detail but Kalashnikovs are chunkier and nicer I find. Now, if they only released plastic. Napoleonics with Kalashnikovs that would be perfect
I always get tangled up in too many details and then it takes too long. (sigh) Think the smaller bases are a good idea. Will sometimes try to paint the figures directly on the bases. could save time and accidents when attaching to the base.
Thx for the tips. 👍
You're welcome, don't get hung up on the small things, no one will see them!
Everything looks great, thanks for the tutorial!👍🍻
Thanks!
Nice painting and lots of information in the video 👍🎲
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice tutorial! You may have given me confidence to paint 15mm!
Thank you, that's great to hear!
Thanks for sharing.
What color did you paint the machine guns. The ones with the figures sitting down.
Thanks!
I can't remember, but probably just gun metal.
