Nice informative video. I've been clay shooting for many years off and on, but after a very long break in the sport, i decided to join a club and have some lessons. I booked a lesson with a lady instructor, I've never had clay shooting lessons before, but within half an hour, this lady ironed out all my bad habits. She had me hitting more clays than I've ever done. Im looking forward to my next lesson.
Nice discussion and deft little demonstration. The forward posture, cheek position, kill point and "o'clock" focus - great beginnings. My wife, who is new to sporting, says, "Well done." And yes, she agrees that at least a modicum of gun fit, gun fit, gun fit really helps.
I think it's misleading to tell a new comer to the sport that it doesn't have to be expensive. It 'IS' expensive and it's best that the person involved know exactly how much the weekly cost will be. To say a cap, a pair of shooting glasses, a skeet vest, a budget gun will cost £xxx may be accurate but we all know it is misleading!
to say its not expensive is frankly a lie. to kit someone out for just shy of a grand, is expensive. a slab of ammo for 60 odd a month, is expensive. insurance and lessons add up. lets be honest, its an expensive sport!
You are 100% right , not only the initial outlay, but the weekly to monthly expenses all add up , put fuel on top of that & where are these youngsters able to afford all this, unless they are from the" Silver Spoon " gentry. They are probably studying as well.
Great video. Nice to see young women getting involved into the shooting sports. Cheers Ron
