"Midnight Train To Georgia - Gladys Knight & The Pips - The Midnight Special" I think everyone has heard the name "Gladys Knight" but until you listen to her work, you tend to forget just how great she really was. Gladys Knight & the Pips were an American R&B, soul and funk family music group, from Atlantia, Georgia that remained active on the music charts and performing circuit for more than three decades starting from the early 50's. Starting out as simply "The Pips" derived from a cousin's nickname; the founding members were Glays Knight, brother "Merald "Bubba" Knight, sister "Brenda Knight and cousin "Eleanor Guest" and "William Guest." there were other family members that played with the group.
